Hi,

Mining BTC at 15Mh/s is very slow and I don't know too much about your power requirement and power costs but I guess you will loose money mining so slow (it's like "throwing money through the window") check profit calculation like dustcoin.com

Regards

Yeah, i thinked that, but i don't have the PC turned on just for mine BTC... i mine BTC while i'm working with the PC or i download. I don't know if it's a lot of difference between having the PC turned on with CPU at 10/20% and having it with CPU at 100%... i should know how much Wattage difference is it between 20% and 100%.

Its cause you're doing it wrong. In Scrypt mining, hash rates are x1000 times low than SHA-256, so, with a ATI 7970 you can get +- 700 mhs in SHA-256 and only 700 Khs on scrypt algorythms.
You need to read the, Scrypt readme file from CGminer.
Also, in CPU miner you get 3 times your maximun speed, normally you should get 15mhs and 15khs. So i think you may use that 45khs Wink
Sorry for bad english, i'm From Argentina.

Okay, i guess so it's normal thing  Smiley

Hi people!
I want to make you a question about mining Bitcoins and Litecoins, i mean, cryptocurrencies bases on SHA256 and on Scrypt...

So, the best miner for me (the miner that gives me a best hashrate) is Ufasoft's Bitcoin Miner (i mine all under GNU/Linux), with a maximum of 15MH/s... Not a lot, but... it works  Grin
The problem is that, at the moment, i can't be able to mine on Scrypt algorithm, and with this program i only can mine on SHA256. So i can mine at 15MH/s Bitcoins, Terracoins & Freicoins... but i want to mine some litecoins and feathercoins

So for that i can use CPUMiner and CGMiner. The problem is: on Cpuminer, i just get a max of 45KH/s. On CGMiner i get more, 2,8MH/s, but all that i do on CGMiner is not shown on the Pool, because i can't add --scrypt option at the command... if i add it, program takes a lot of time to start and doesn't mine. BFGMiner case is worst: it desont' mine, it doesn't show any hashrate and lags my computer.

I gonna try another mining soft... but its normal the hashrate difference between SHA256 mining and SCRYPT mining?
