Been interested in companies like BlockFi for some time but haven't used their services yet. Was fascinated when I found this subforum and the informal marketplace driven by private lenders. Has anyone done any work to estimate the market size of this informal lending economy? Would be curious to learn how portfolios have done historically as well.
Obviously, with DeFi a lot of this will change and be more transparent, but this informal market is way more interesting. Anyone have any links or good resources to learn more about the total volume of loans made on this forum (and others like it)?
