The safest thing to do is only use trusted and reputable wallets and you are safe just ignore those new wallets that is popping out. But be careful some scammers are copying popular wallets and will steal your private keys and other sensitive data. So if you download make sure to verify the source, google playstore is not really trusted they allow fake and malicious apps to be uploaded on their platforms.

web wallet, android and web browser extention are mostly shady when it comes to funds, even some of the best program get cloned url get highjacks every now and then, i never use android wallet, if you hold a big amount of bitcoin better get the full client but if you are an occasional trader i suggest you use eth.

The only bitccoin wallet that I've been using so far was ELECTRUM only, aside from this nothing else.
But if you can afford to buy ledger nano is much more good but as long as you don't have budget for ledger nano, you can
use Electrum or some on which you think is safe just do check them first before trying to use em.

Firefox extensions aren't safe to begin with, this is why its not safe to leave funds on metamask wallet add-on, the problem with PC browsing is Trojans and highjacking viruses are right there waiting for you to make a click, mobile wallets are far superior than desktop wallets in terms of security Malwares and viruses in android is also possible so no matter what device you hold on whether a PC or a smartphone, risks are same. Thanks for the warning OP actually I never heard any of this exchanges mentioned. If I were to users dont just download any wallet from Playstore and just simply deposit any funds if you think the wallet has good reviews. Temember Google Playstore reviews can ve manipulated by dummy accounts and leave good feedback.

Newbies should try to do research on anything crypto before jumping in, the first time I started using crypto wallet I choose bitpay and copay based on reviews, fake wallets is something you don't want to get involved with, gathering coins in the wallet thinking that it's safe and one day everything just disappeared, do better research before making any decisions

Never heard of that mobile wallets before but its hard to trust wallet that came out from nowhere. Better not to try them and only use wallets that are highly reputable or wallets that provide private key to avoid headaches in the future.

Thanks for bringing this up, many things have been said about fake and fraudulent wallets, and much will also be said because since scammers won't relent, the need to constantly update the community on their (scammers) new ways will always continue. However, it is good there are many trusted wallets and some can now accept and support more than 1 coin (multi-cryptocurrency wallet), therefore before using any wallet since funds security is very important, it is wise making a research or asking the community first and foremost for their reviews on the wallet.
This is important and interesting information, because after all we don't need to believe in a wallet that doesn't have many users. this certainly will endanger the funds we have, and very high risk.

I am not sure why trust wallet is not being listed here. Binance must work on making trust wallet to be listed here. If anything in trust wallet is not compatible against bitcoin.org then they must work on that. This is my personal opinion because I have been working with trust wallets without any problem for months. Probably bitcoin.org will list the wallets which support only bitcoins and not all the wallets which are ALSO SUPPORTING bitcoins along with altcoins. Not sure yet

It's many of them and sadly many newbies aren't aware that those wallets are shady. They have to be known and familiar of the wallets that the majority use so if they have seen a wallet that's not on the list of most crypto people, they will not download it.
