Shapeshift warning!

I'm posting here first to give Shapeshift a chance to fix this intentional money making "bug" before this story is refined and published.
I could use a good story.

Background:
My transaction was submitted perfectly with the correct BCH wallet address and BTC address in the correct fields for returns, all good.
I originally wanted to exchange 55 USD worth BTC -> BCH and what I got in return was astonishingly, 5 USD in BCH and 40 USD in BTC, 10 dollars just vanished somehow while the transaction 90% failed ( Huh ).
Seems to spell ugly playing, period.

My initial reaction and a bit of simple math point to an obvious possible pattern in Shapeshift's services structure designed to divert people's funds, and I would like to know how many of these "errors" average daily.
If you don't expose that info there are easy ways to get it from you so I'd take this seriously if I were you.
I know my rights and understand some U.S. law and am thinking perhaps I have enough information and should just call the authorities.
I hope others don't step up too with similar issue, that could spell serious trouble.
You're a U.S. company (does that even mean better service anymore?)

Don't forget also Shapeshift's deep integration and collaboration with the Bitcoin Jaxx wallet, the super low security wallet that's easily hacked.
A 4 digit pass code.. Like that would stop any hacker, ha. And with unlimited attempts while offline, I can open that in 45 seconds with a single script and then get your twelve words right out along with all your coins.
I read some hackers can hack a Jaxx wallet with a 20 second window into a given operating system taking everything you have.

First thing first, why the heck would you send part in BTC and part in BCH? It makes no sense.
Secondly, why the heck would you charge extra for the failed delivery of a service.
And third question, why didn't you ask for my consent if your terms of exchange changed after I pressed send without notifying me you couldn't muster the necessary BCH.
It said 2 USD charge, how did you turn that into 10 without asking me?!
If you can't fulfill a transaction don't push it through partially without asking and than go charging extra for it, what the heck is wrong with you? Who ever asked you to do that?

There was no error on my side and I got charged extra (way, way) over the top in fees, and for a failed transaction, period.
This isn't any "bug" of any sort and has nothing to do with the blockchain or miner fees.
I'm a programmer, give me a break.. you can send stuff for pennies on the blockchain, especially if you control powerful nodes like Shapeshift does.

Here's this shapeshift's transaction ID:

Order ID: 26f41203-0e7a-49f7-8317-195559e60392.
(saved the pages locally on all the steps. perfect copies)

Do what you like with it, but know that I don't care about 10 dollars, no, forget bribing me out of this, now I am Zoro (My name is..) and I'm laying myself down before others who may get hurt by you. (heroic, poetic, Lol)
Either get your game straight or get out, as far as I'm concerned.
I'll post the actual transactions from the ledger if anyone's interested because all the Shapeshift website shows is that the transaction was actually successful (can you believe that), let me know if any reader wants more details.
I can see your service ruining long standing relationships.
Something must be done.

Obviously there's huge demand for this service and you could be taking advantage of that using a pretty UI (let's invested there, ha?) with (internationally?) fractured code.
I really hope things aren't as they seem and that there's a good explanation for this.
I don't want a refund, I'll repeat that.
I want this problem resolved for all users or I will report it.

I'm not new to blockchain, this can never add up in miner fees besides the fact that you sent, my money obviously went into some deep pockets here and I'm worried this is standard practice on your platform taking advantage of helpless people.
I don't know about you, but in my book a 4000% fee increase in any transaction without the clients consent makes me wanna scream "SCAM SCAM" to warm anyone I could before something bad happens to them.
I don't mean to speak for Shapeshift that run a large scale service but in this case it doesn't matter, for all I care, even if the president of the United States himself cheated me out of my hard earned money I'd grab it right back from him, no regrets, no fear. Smiley

Waiting to hear back from you.. best of luck.

P.S. For my fellow number enthusiasts: 20% of my funds for a 90% failed transaction so a 400% fee hike x10 because only 10%  of the BCH actually came through turning into a 4000% charge compared to the original fee and services commitment. Simple math.
Why didn't you just take all of it? Should I thank you for not doing that?.

Let me know in the comments if anyone else ran across this specific "bug" or other peculiar behaviors in the Shapeshift platform.
