to convert mining results I often use https://shapeshift.io/ especially if I need BTC, ETH and some other large coins even though the fee is large for one transaction
The shapeshift is opt for the people who don't don't care about the transaction fee and mainly needs anonymity so they can go for it but the traders need to use the exchange with low fee but coming to this discussion I never heard evercoin but it was in the use for very long time but never get reputed maybe they are shady in their activity so better to avoid them and start using the exchanges with good feedbacks in that case shapeshift will be the better choice.
Didn't even hear that evercoin and beside it doesn't even have a website but rather a google app that do acts as an exchange which do sucks and cant really be trust either way.Talking about Shapeshift then this is the only thing I do make use when I do need direct swaps between coins and with anonymity I cant really deny it but as of recent update with shapeshift they are already imposing KYC which do really sucks and I do need to find some alternative which doesn't have that shitty verifications.

Evercoin? I don't know that there's such that exists.

I'd go with shapeshift rather than that evercoin. If someone has legit experience with it make sure that you are really used it.

I've used https://shapeshift.io/ to convert BTC to ETH. Very easy. I just heard about https://evercoin.com/ this morning. Anyone used both? If so, what are your thoughts?
Personally, I have not heard about this Evercoin before but will read about it for me to know what is is about and how it functions but in my opinion, I think the Shapeshift is better and easy to use.

To see more "instant" exchanges, use okchanger.com and bestchange.com

There's Nxt.am, Changer.com, ArbitrCoin, Blocktrades.us, etc.
Besides Blocktrades I've never heard about those options.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Although I haven't use any of this platform but I believe if you do your research about the evercoin, you will be able to know if it is good and also potential.

Give it a time I guess, their project is new and I never heard about them compared to shapeshift which is somewhat have established their reputation. One of the member had pointed that their website is only registered a few days, a scam maybe but let's give it a time.

@OP are you just sticking as an Exchange site or are you planning to have an API's for eccommerce site's just like shapeshift, paybear, and bitpay?

I would like to point out that evercoin has a great app which is absolutely amazing for exchanging one crypto to another. In the apple app store it has a 4.5 star rating with close to 2500 reviews from happy people. I just used it myself for the first time and it works awesome. It has IOS app and Android.

This is for people that want to use their ethereum or bitcoin to quickly buy ripple or any similar situation. Dash and waves can also be exchanged for with the click of a few buttons. The fee is definitely not that bad either. It is comparable to exchange fees after you have to send eth over, get a maker/taker fee, plus the withdraw fee and gas once again to send your tokens out of the exchange... So yeah it is actually cheaper to convert this way than with an exchange unless you already have eth or btc in an exchange, but if you had that why would you even be reading this!

Check it out here > https://evercoin.com/

Apple - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/evercoin/id1277924158
Android - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.evercoin

Happy exchanging everyone!

Yes, they've got an app. But is it really needed?

IMO, shapeshifter already has support for mobile devices so it really doesn't matter that much whether they've got an app for their service or not. After all, the process is already very very easy already.

Shapeshift is a lot more trusted, but nobody says that you can't use ever coin.

Their site looks good, just that shapeshifter has been around longer I think and resolves issues quickly and has a track record of doing so.

To be honest i never heard of  evercoin before up until now  and based on the quick research i made earlier, it says evercoin is a scam , i dont know if that review is fake or real because that is only in facebook. but even the legit exchanges such as yobit do also get a negative feedback from random people just because they dont like it. Shapeshift on the other hand is verry well known exchange that is a good competitor of changelly although i never used but im pretty sure shapeshift is 100% legit.

I don't remember why I needed this service but I am glad it was there when I did need it. However, the site surely knows that it is the end of the line for some people and the fees are very high. Lastly, when you're putting together your transaction you will see a minimum amount for the deposit. Stick to that. Anything that comes in under that minimum is either kept by the company or is lost somewhere in the system.

This is the first time I have heard of any site other than shapeshift. I knew that there was one other side out there that did basically the same thing but their fees were so exuberant that it wasn't even worth it. And that is not the site you just mentioned. Since I've never touched evercoin, I will tell you about the few experiences I had with shapeshift, it was pretty fast for the service that it is performing gamma keep in mind that it is matching transactions for two different ends and two different block chains. Most of the time it was done in less than an hour. Most of the time it was actually done in less than 20 minutes.

ShapeShift is obviously the more trusted one of the two, use that for big or important amounts and avoid Evercoin.
If you want to give Evercoin a chance (or multiple ones) use small amounts that you can afford to lose. They seem honest but they're brand new and I don't see why I would use them over ShapeShift right now.

I have used shapeshift many times before so I can say they are trusted and you can use them without worrying about anything. I think evercoin is quite new in business so using them might involve some risk. There are also many other trusted alternative to shapeshift like changelly and changer.com, its better to only use some well established exchange platform than evercoin like new one.

Did a bit of research on evercoin.com:
Quote
Domain:evercoin.com
Registrar:GODADDY.COM, LLC
Registration Date:2012-10-28
Expiration Date:2017-10-28
Updated Date:2016-08-14
Name:Jason Smit
Registered since 2012, but I could barely see any results or reviews about evercoin.com. So it's either a new website with an old domain, a very unpopular exchange site, or a scam. I'm not saying it's a scam, but it probably is and I would rather stay away from it just to be safe. If you don't have any issues with shapeshift, then I suggest sticking with it. A good alternative would be changelly.com

I also found a thread about evercoin here on bitcointalk. Link: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/cryptocurrency-exchange-2070360
Looks like the creator of that topic might probably be the owner of evercoin just subtly advertising the website.
Well suggested.! Why would use other services if theres already one who did provide the services that you do seek? If Shapeshift do the job well then thinking of on other service wont really be needed at all but if you are really curios then its not bad to use and try but be ready on losing money if things go on opposite ways.I didn't heard about evercoin before if theres shapeshift why would use evercoin which we know isn't too popular or even didn't heard too much by the community.

And also shapeshift is rather good on delivering some good service in cryptoworld aswell as I would trust those new name who's came out from nowhere and its been suggested to anyone to not experiment nor be appealed for those new comers in this kind of indsutry since we might gonna lose our money for those new sites build here.

Hi everyone.

I am Miko from Evercoin and I'm happy to answer your questions.

The People Behind EverCoin

I'm happy to see people on this board looking at our service with suspicion, this is normal and the community needs to protect itself from scammers. We do show our own faces and linkedin profiles on the front page of our exchange. Yes, it is possible that people are just using the identities of others. We are obviously not so prominent or famous but I do have a number of fairly prominent people in crypto who could vouch for us or who have met us including general partners at Pantera Capital, Jackson Palmer, originator of Dogecoin, Robert CEO of ZenCash, Zooko from Zcash and many others. I know these aren't necessarily the gods of crypto like Vitalik Buterin, but I havent met him so he can't say if I'm a real person or not. I am one of the organizers of the SF Advanced Crypto Asset Trading group and Crypto Underground meetup, so 3500 people in that community know who I am at some level. Anyhow, I welcome the suspicion, I hate scammers as much as anyone and feel like everyone who asks you to "send bitcoin to this address" deserves to be checked out. I've been in Silicon Valley for 25 years working in tech.

Check out our Linkedin here

Yasin's https://www.linkedin.com/in/yasin-tamer/
Ahmed's https://www.linkedin.com/in/ahmet-alptekin/
Ismael's https://www.linkedin.com/in/ismaelkose/

Talip created the open source project Hazelcast. https://github.com/hazelcast/hazelcast a github based Apache open source licensed project with over 24,000 commits and 143 committers.

Evercoin Domain Name
Let me explain the domain name. We originally launched under the name "Hazelcoin" because the founder Talip Ozturk previously created the open source project Hazelcast. We decided that this was not a great name for us, so we did some searching for a good name.

We ended up liking the name "Evercoin" because we feel like there are too many people in this space thinking short-term. We would like to create a built-to-last company and service. So "Ever" is a nice feel, like forever feeling, and trustworthy, which we feel is important. The domain was for sale on Sedo.com and we purchased the domain through them. So the domain existed in the past, but it was for sale. We liked the fact that the domain ended in "coin".

Honestly, we are a BRAND NEW service, so there are very few reviews.

Happy to answer any other questions you all may have.

How to start
As with any crypto service, start small. Just try a very small transaction to see how the system behaves. It's a fully functional system, so you'll immediately get the feeling of that. And yes, do your homework.

I have not heard of either of these coins, however I can offer you some advice.

When you look into a new coin you must do lots, and lots, and lots of research. You cannot just buy them without knowing everything about it first, otherwise you will run into ICO scams and pump-and-dump premined garbage "crapcoins". I just read about a guy yesterday that invested $1,600,000 into Bitcoin a couple months ago (he bought 600 Bitcoin in total) and he already lost 400 Bitcoins... I am not kidding. Guess what happened? He bought tons of altcoins because they were going up and he thought it would continue. Well, it didn't and now Bitcoin has gone up to twice what it was when he first got in and all of his investment is still in altcoins.

The moral of the story? Altcoins can be great, but many are scams so be careful and do your research!
ROFL. Talk about someone who is just lurking around the forum spamming posts without even reading what is being discussed. This kind of people shouldn't be allowed to spam on behalf of any signature campaign.

Neither ShapeShift or Evercoin are altcoins. They are EXCHANGES. Maybe you should try a little bit next time.

Evercoin is a really new exchange that started 1 or 2 weeks ago so you are not going to find a review easily. The domain has been created back in 2012 but before that evercoin was (I suppose) a solution software for accounting
view-source:http://web.archive.org/web/20140128001853/http://evercoin.com:80/
They maybe have decided to recycle their domain name to create this project as the name has "coin" in it

They use the name Jason Smit for their whois information, but he's not mentioned in the "team" on the website.  While the team look like they have done the things they claim on the website, I don't think that the things they've done are that significant and it's always possible that their names were abused to promote the service.

It's unusual for a dedicated company to allow a domain to get within 2 months of expiry without renewing - they would very easily pay for the extra time.  By comparison, shapeshift.io expires in 2019 instead.

Anyway, debates about whether they're legitimate are irrelevant.  Shapeshift.io is quite a good service in my opinion, so I'm happy using that rather than dealing with less known services that do the same thing.
shapeshift is best atm, they have a lot of alts to exchange between
