Hesitant of getting one at first, and I was right, it is a lot of work. However, it all pays off because once they are trained it is so fun to have an exciting and fun-loving companion.

Years ago i had a dog. He died by car crash. Now i have a cat and happy with her except she scratches furnitures. Dogs have a big loyalty but cats are different. They are free animals

Just an advice: don't own a dog if you live in a flat or don't have any garden.

Otherwise since I'm a child I always lived with dogs and they give you really postive vibration !

I know many people who keeps dog in a flat. I think this isn't a problem as long as you walk him regulary (at least 3 times a day) and if the dog doesn't have to be alone for the whole day or if the dog isn't to big for the flat.

I love animals but if you don't have conditions for keeping them , you better forget idea.
There is nothing worse than dog on chain without proper care.

you can't go have a vacation for jsut three days because you need to go back after just few hours to feed your dog. that is why i don't keep dogs anymore.

Why don't you just take the dogs with you? There are many places where you can bring the pets with you and they will be happy too.

I vaguely remember having a dog when I was growing up. My parents were too busy working and raising 4 kids, so it sat in the back yard on a chain running around in a 25 foot circle it's whole life.

I've decided to never get a dog if I were too busy to pay attention to it.
...
Maybe when I win the powerball and retire.
