It's tricky to setup your own masternode so these sorts of services might become more popular if masternodes continue to take off resulting in lower costs

Not everyone can afford a whole node themselves as the costs go up into the hundreds of thousands and getting a better ROI on a shared node would be more rewarding than a smaller amount on a non-shared one

That could be an option. If you have a good VPS for 5$ please put a link, i dismissed them because prices were much higher for the ones I checked out. Same as static IP or even higher.

Here you go: https://www.vultr.com/?ref=7340826

I think it is hard to run multiple masternode from one VPS since at $5 you do not get much memory (I think you can only get 2GB of RAM). On the other hand I run four masternodes from my home PC.

I have heared people say that its perfectly fine to run up to 4 nodes on a 1GB ram VPS. You simply create a swapfile of 4GB! I run a single node that recommend a 2GB RAM vps (10$) and when I look at this:

Code:
ree -h
total        used        free      shared  buff/cache   available
Mem:           2.0G        225M        484M         20M        1.3G        1.5G
Swap:          4.0G          0B        4.0G

Seems like a waste. I really should move that node to another vps but that also means the income will stop and the risk of something going wrong to I leave that for now as its my most expensive node. I will only do 5$ VPS from now on. I will stack up multiple on one in the future.

Nodes are not supposed to be like world class performance webservers that handle so much more requests and where pagespeed it very important, I think its perfectly fine to work with a swapfile, and I have other nodes that even require less then 225 mb. So I could basically run 4 on 1GB and that swapfile would rarely even be, if at all.

You run the MN on VPS that coasts you 5$ a month so no you do not need PC on and you will not lose any money on your electric bill!

However for now shared masternodes are still enough for me until I invest some real capital in MN coins.

I am using some shared masternode services and paying 5% for that. You can usually check that they are paying as they should.

I will one day switch to hosting my own masternodes but for the moment this way is more convenient for me. Technical part is something I can handle with a little bit of googling but I would have to pay extra money to my internet provider to have a static IP address. Plus I would have to have another PC always on which takes some electricity as well. When that day comes I will probably offer service to at least some of my friends.

Ofcourse theyll take some cut, true its easy to setup your own MN but not all of us have knowledege for that and have time to learn it. I mean sometimes we busy with our work and else. And its much easier to let other people do our job, we still get profit though, and thats enough for me.

Learn to setup your own. And do not just go by RIO percentages. Many of this coins have no purpose other then make the creators rich. You need to find a coin that actually does innovative things, that actually has a high volume and marketcap and a future.

It makes no sense at all not to run your own! And no I have not been scammed or anything like that, I never got a "seat" and I never will!

They take a percentage and you are have to assume they pay you the right amount and even if they do they take a cut. For what exactly for setting up a VPS? Seriously linux is a great thing you should learn it its fun. Its the most retarded thing I have ever heard and I am so annoyed by this channels and ads on discord for this kind of things I just wanted to tell everyone.
