Shiba inu isn't a standalone blockchain project like Neo or other so it doesn't have a desktop wallet of it's own, maybe in future when Shiba build it's own ecosystem and smart contract haven like Bitgert.

I heard about hardware wallets. What happens if a malicious entity creates a software that makes it impossible to access the hardware wallet?
You also need to use hardware wallets with a computer.
A vulnerability might occur when you connect the ledger to the computer, then to the internet.

You can save in Trust Wallet. And it's safer for you.
A closed source wallet is surely not a secure option.
Trust wallet is owned and developed by Binance, if you use binance exchange and store assets on it, trust wallet is also a reliable choice.

Hi everybody,

What is the most secure Desktop wallet for SHIBA INU?

I need a Shiba Inu wallet that I can run on a Desktop, similar to Bitcoin Core, if this wallet exists.
You can use metamask utility to store Shiba, if you have a large number of tokens and want it to be as secure as possible, you can consider equipping yourself with a hardware wallet. It will be safer for your assets instead of using a software wallet regularly connecting to the internet which will have certain risks.

The safest way - it is a metamask, which will be connected to your hardware wallet, all other ways, such as the same Trust Wallet or Atomic Wallet can not be called the most secure solutions, as well as mobile wallets. If you put a question like: "tell me the most accessible and most convenient wallet," then of course you can consider various browser extensions or wallets with closed source code, but it certainly has nothing to do with such a characteristic as the most secure.

Almost the options available to you are rather slim if we consider that you want a wallet similar to the Core wallet. Perhaps the only option in this case is to use a hardware wallet through the Ledger Leaf app.
At the same time, there are some other safe options, which are mainly limited to applications that help to deal with the Ethereum network, such as the EVM gateway or the MetaMask extension on the web browser.

There are a few options, but I don't think many desktop ETH wallets are decently developed, mainly the EVM/tokens ecosystem is using web wallets, so the developements are going over there. In that case, I believe your best bet is to use a hardware wallet, you can either use their desktop wallet or just simply connect it over Metamask.

You can use the metamask extension for chrome that allows you to switch between the 2 blockchains on which shiba eth and bsc is present and it is quite safe

There is currently no desktop wallet for storing Shiba coins. Because wallets that support Ethereum and BSC blockchains don't support all tokens. You can save in Trust Wallet. And it's safer for you.
