^ If you need this service, shoot me a PM. I recently did a $2000+ package for two iphone 6, and forwarded dozens of other packages prior. I always take out invoice, repackage, and mark as gift on customs form so that buyer doesn't pay VAT.

I heard people asking companies to write "gift" or "return product" on packages to avoid extra tax. If you use someone to forward it to you and it's a private person isn't it a different category? Can't you say its a e.g. Christmas present from a relative?

PS: I also like deals in the US, also if something is 200€ in the EU in the US its conveniently 200$most of the time.

Sorry for the dig...

I haven't found an updated post.

I'm currently out of US and need a mail forwarder that can post with any declared value I want and remove packages and that sort of thing.

Someone reputable that want to do this step in.

As stuff in the US is usually a lot cheaper than rest of the world, I use mail forwarders time to time. But there are certain limitations (not very eager to repackage, slow, extra shipping fees, and problems with buying stuff with non US data in the first place).

I'm thinking about asking somebody on this forum to (let's imagine) buy me certain cpu, maybe tear down the package and keep stock cooler, or a CD, effectively making package 10x smaller. Also import duties in EU are insanely unfair, while sender can mitigate that by lowering price tag on a package.  There are all kind of killer deals for US residents. Combo buys, mail in rebates and all that jazz. I get lower price, buyer gets to keep extra stuff and rebates. Win-win?

How safe are escrow services? Even if it's a great escrow, will he believe me if I get screwed over? Hmm... esc-row e-screw...

I would love to hear some opinions, guys(and gals).

Also what about prices in the countries where that tech originates from? China, Malaysia, Korea , etc. Do they get it even cheaper than USA?

Who are you using?

You can send PM if you want.

Bitcointalk user + escrow is much better.
Just choose reliable escrow provider.

it's crazy
countries which make this stuff in tonnes and have humongous population to cater to, cannot compete with another country overseas?

Sometimes there are good deals on alibaba but:

- a lot of them are scams
- sometimes you need to buy in really big quantities to get a good price
- the duties/VAT/etc. make it sometimes more expensive than buying locally
