I have this friend that he thinks he's a genius in NFTs that he hides this game that he later on shared named, War riders.
Although it's not an FPS game but it's a shooter tank game and maybe you're going to like that game. There are game play videos that are posted on Youtube so watch it any of those videos and see if you're going to like it.

I'm waiting on metalands too but it's not getting launched anytime soon, I do wish that call of duty ends up giving players free tokens on every wins but it's possible on the long run when they finally see what crypto and blockchain tech can do to gaming world, Sony and Microsoft will end up joining as well, fingers crossed for now 
Are there play to earn games that are shooter? FPS to be precise the only one I'm still waiting for to launch is metalands from citizen finance and it looks a lot like counter strike,

Im also having the same impression like you about metalands and it's pretty similar with counter strike since counter strike was open source and i guess cifi was taking the source from there to build a new game with it. I'm not good with platformer games like jump and dodge mario like I'm more into shooters that's why I'm looking for such games
You can check the upcoming FPS game on gala. There are some teasers about that and it seems like that's looking nice based on my first impression after seeing the teaser. FASTR, Killbox and many more.
