Here's the exact post with that warning: Shop directly on Amazon.com with Bitcoin Post#21

Thank you for sharing this, it's the first time I hear about Moon extension "through coindesk" so I did not know that story.
It was answered on another topic ---->PSA on Moon Browser Extension, but I was not convinced of what @binarytree said.
also, @angzhanyu account has been suspended.
Generally, I will lock this topic. USE At Your Own Risk.

I thought that there was a a serious security issue with this extension?
If you follow the link above (post), they've mentioned about a vulnerability or sort of malicious code exposed by one of their employee.

Here's the exact post with that warning: Shop directly on Amazon.com with Bitcoin Post#21

After that, I never heard of this extension's name, until now.

Metawin.com - Truly the best casino ever
Hey, I remember when it was in Beta. There was also a discussion on this forum IIRC.
As soon as it's available on the chrome store next week I'll try it directly, I who buy a lot on Amazon, it would be perfect. What I don't get is how the company is making a profit?

It will be cool.
Yes, there was discussion and I'll include link of that topic here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/shop-directly-on-amazoncom-with-bitcoin-5111634
Seems articles were published on a lot of websites, including top ones, congrats, this is amazing. Hope they'll expand and coinbase won't be only option like it is no, at least person who works on project stated that he will try to make payment possible from any wallet, once this will be available, then I believe success of this project will be huge.

Join the world-leading crypto sportsbook NOW!
And here I sit in some weird marketplace limbo where Amazon doesn't ship. That said, took me a while to even convince myself to use MetaMask (I have, for irrational reasons, a phobia for using browser extensions for crypto needs, even though the few I do now have not failed) so I might still wait a bit even if I could use Moon.

This makes it 3 now with Lightning on Chrome extensions, to my knowledge. Joule, Bitlum and now Moon. #spoiltforchoice

It is wonderful to see more and more adoption of lighting technology.
This time through Moon’s browser extension and then you can pay using the lightning network through any lightning-enabled wallet.
also, you can make purchases directly from your Coinbase account.

Moon CEO Ken Kruger told CoinDesk:

“[The extension] will pop up a QR code and it will have the lightning invoice, which you could also copy and paste if you can’t use the QR code for some reason, and you’ll be able to pay with your favorite lightning wallet.”

“There’s no direct merchant integration,” Kruger said, clarifying that Moon also manages payment channels and merely offers a simple interface for sending payments.

Note that:
The extension’s lightning network functionality is still being reviewed by the Chrome Web Store and is now anticipated to launch on Wednesday, according to Moon.
