Hey guys, I am looking to get into short selling bitcoins. I figure I can make money on top of simply exchanging bitcoins (going long). I'm looking for some opinions from people that short sell bitcoins- what is the best place to do this?? I currently trade on btc-e. I prefer more volatile markets- more opportunities to earn (every "spike" is a profit if you buy and sell at each high and low). I've looked at campbx

Bitfinex would work for this.

There really aren't too many methods to short.  That's why there is so much volatility -- no way for people to bet against the price increase.

If you look at the beta trial mode that Kraken.com has currently, you can see what they offer.  Coinsetter might be another.    If you have bank (and aren't from the U.S.) you might want to consult BitcoinFund.eu as they might offer short selling to you.

You can short bitcoin on Plus500 with 4:1 leverage. However they don't accept american traders.

I heard it's also possible on https://bitfinex.com and https://icbit.se but I didn't try them.
