Why don't we tag them? Isn't it necessary to tag all of them so that they don't participate in these shady activities? Back in the days, I tagged someone if I can remember correctly & Vod was the only one who used to fight against these shady activities.
But why many DT don't tag? Can you please share your opinion why don't you?

Scammers target mostly inexperienced people who have no idea what trust is or what flag means, so you shouldn't think that there would be anything better on the forum in that regard if all scammers were taged&flaged. In addition, no scammer will be prevented from continuing to do what he did before someone left him negative feedback.

The question of why more DT members do not use their powers can be put in the same context as the question of why more forum members do not use the "report to moderator" button? I know the answer to the second question, and I think it can be applied to the first question as well - probably because all free work is considered a waste of time.

This is the opposite of what is happening on this forum, I have seen DT members that tagged account if the account is worthy of being tagged. Not only that, I have seen but in some cases that a flag will also be raised and supported. What could have been happening is that if DT attention is not called to a shady member at times, it may not be like what you want. If anyone see a shady person that was or can be harmful to other members on this forum, there is nothing bad to create a thread about it in reputation board for other DTs to make their decision. If valid, tagging the account will follow.

But most of the times, buyer/seller both get away from getting tagged while both parties help to scam a big amount of people. Why don't we tag them?
Not everyone is following trading section and it's well known fact that scam is not moderated in bitcointalk forum.
This is not a group thing, so if you want to tag someone you just do it yourself you don't need special permission from other DT members.

You can't tag ALL of them, whatever that means, because they can always create (or buy) new accounts, and it's not DT's job to hunt everyone in forum.
I can only tag someone if I examine the case, and even than I am not always sure if I made good or bad decision, but for all that you need to spend time and you have to be interested in specific case.
I can't tag something that I don't see or read myself, I can't visit every single post in the topic and I don't want to do that.

If I ask you how will I know about them? I usually tag such cases but that doesn't mean always I have to do it. Also doesn't mean I can notice them always.
I'd also add that not every DT member is a scam buster by any means.  Last I knew there were a lot of members in the collectibles section that were on DT, and I don't think they got their positive reputations by going after forum scumbags.  Ultimately it's up to each member (DT or not) to decide if they want to dole out the negative trust--Vod did it for years, but he was constantly fighting a losing battle whether he knew it or not.  Most people who end up on bitcointalk with the intention of scamming do it with brand new accounts, so if they end up with a red trust, they just start over with a new account.

I used to do a lot of tagging myself, but I don't go looking for idiots anymore (my beef has always been primarily with account sellers).  That doesn't mean I won't help out if I see an obvious case of wrongdoing that's reported in a thread.  As was said, it's up to you to set an example if you think DT members should start a tagging posse.

Yes, they deserve a tag IMO, but all DT members wouldn't bother to tag them. Selling or buying reviews is definitely shady behavior and the intention wouldn't be good. All DT members wouldn't agree as well to tag them. Try to understand, all of our minds do not work in the same way. So for me, review buyer and seller should be tagged.

Usually, if you see suspicious activity and you think it's necessary to leave a red tag, then you should set an example by going first [especially since you're DT2].

Returned from this- https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/equsocom-unsecured-loans-stole-my-bitcoins-on-my-wallet-5383474

Anyone can put feedback on trustpilot and the same goes with play store & a lot of other platforms. The scammer uses this as an advantage. They buy fake reviews from different sources. We have seen it here as well. But most of the times, buyer/seller both get away from getting tagged while both parties help to scam a big amount of people. Why don't we tag them?
