So I should give it a try? For psu do you have any suggestions?

yeah you can do it with free electricity, i would try for sure if i was you

you have to count electricity + diff adjustement + psu + cables, internet + shipping + taxes/fees. With these your 5 month roi goes to 12, if lucky

I would not count internet in it.  Assuming you would have internet without it, it is not really an additional cost.

The good thing about PSU's if you buy a good one it will last multiple generations of miners.   So once you pay it off, you can still use it with future miners with no additional cost.
So I should buy a new one and not a used one?

better to buy new in the HW technology, just my personal preference, you can always resell it later, these things are sold easily

I will agree in most cases new is better.   The only reason I ask is some with very low electricity I have seen pull a good profit of off used S3's.   Its a small market, but some are able to get ROI surprisingly small amount of time if got for a good price.

But yes S5, SP20, Avalon 4.1, etc are better for most with efficiency.

I have free electricity but no psu but i think I can use one from an old computer but what if it is unusable does a new one cost much? btw thanks for the replies Wink. If Bitcoin's difficulty does not rise that much and it will become more valuable you think I might make some profit?

not that much(it is around 100 usd a 750 rm) you can buy one used in the market, if you don't have the fund for a new one, for the diff as long as the price rimain there the diff should not rise by much

Hi, I would like to buy an s5 but I don't know if I will roi since there will be new miners around september. I'm not realy new in the Bitcoin world but currently I only have a usb miner just for experimenting. Thanks in advance!

as always  your power cost is ?

and do you have a good psu?

if your power is 10 cents or less and you have the psu maybe you make a little money.

If your power is 15 cents or more you will most likely lose money

If you power is under 5 cents buy one as it is almost a certain profit.  If you have a  good psu  on hand

antminers s5 roi is 5 months if bought used, or 6 months if bought new

because we have a earning of about 0.011, so a simple math tells me that this is 0.33 a month

the cost of one of those is 1.5 used and 2 if new

so if nothing change you should roi around november with free electricity
