I'm skeptical about it. Just do not like 100% premined and distributed coins.

There is no mining in Nxt. It is Proof of Stake, everyone and anyone had 60 days to express an interest , ask questions and join in an open unmoderated thread hosted on this forum. Only 103 did come forward and only 73 actually claimed their stake.

Besides noashh, I don't think we're talking about the same thing.  Do you guys know about the new offerings that are available exclusively on the NXT/XCP/MSC decentralized asset exchanges?  That is the next big thing in crypto.

bitcoinrocks - I PM'd you.

You can either mine coins as I do, or you can just buy them straight out.  I prefer mining, but sometimes it is easier to just buy them up when they are cheap and hold them while their price rises.  That can be more profitable sometimes.

Everything is about speculation on ALTs.

If you want to do serious business from that, you should look and evaluate every new alt coin.
As most of them are just pump and dump.

About NXT - I'm skeptical about it. Just do not like 100% premined and distributed coins.

You could invest into assets issued on the NXT Asset Exchange: http://nxtreporting.com/

Some are very promising, you can get more information on the different assets at http://nxtforum.org

This is where I need some clarification.  I guess there are two types of assets on the NXT/XCP/MSC exchanges.  There are crowdsales which then turn into their own coins like MAID, and then there are assets like NXT's sharkfund0 which won't be spun off into a separate coin?  The high-profile ones like those I listed above seem to be crowdsales which will be spun off.

I buy and hold Bitcoin and good altcoins (NXT, XCP, XMR, etc).  Should I start buying crypto "assets" (is there a better word?) like MAID (MSC), SWARM (XCP), and APICoin (MSC)?  I think the only big one we've seen hit the market so far was MAID which I think came way down in price afterward (but I could be wrong about that).

Are these the next cool crypto investment?
