I just got one of those from Newegg for $199($20 gift card made it $179),it does 22mhs right out of the box (win7 64) @ 80% fan = 58c
Oh & it's pretty quiet compared to my ref 7970
I am also interested in mining Alt Coins , so can you give me some guide is it profitable to setup a desktop for Mining with this graphic card.
Pool I use has a tutorial:

190 watts:
http://www.eteknix.com/sapphire-nitro-r9-380-4gb-graphics-card-review/
http://62.212.74.86/~mining/list/amd/index.php?algo=eth
is that consumption correct, or it is for gaming, that review is not for mining, they consume more for mining
Well,it may be more, but if 50 watts makes or breaks ya,then you might not wanna mine at all
just asking to compare it with a 970, which cost more but consume less
The performance of Ethereum mining with 970 will reduce a lot when the DAG file size is larger than 2GB. But Ethereum will convert to PoS early next year.
