Topic: Should I take revenge if a member is picking up on me? (Read 1003 times)

Bullies are all a pain in the ass.  They all think they are someone special and they are nothing but a individual who has nothing going for them.  They have insecurities that they are afraid to open up to when it comes to sharing and they are afraid someone will notice them and think that there is something wrong with them because of this.

I think the other person is just trying to get a bit of a rise out of you. There are a lot of different people who enjoy saying mean things about others and hoping that they can get you really mad. It does not matter what you say back to them, they are going to come back with something that makes it worse, but which really has no comeback. The internet is made for people like this who are pompous only online but you will find that if you met them in person, you would end up with very different results and they would not stand up for themselves very well.

So basically, you are going to just waste your time when you talk about revenge. The other person is looking for a rise out of you and when you respond, they are going to win. But if you do not answer back to them at all, you are probably going to irritate them. They want to see a response and are annoyed when someone doesn’t bite back. They might send a few more things in order to see if you will respond to something else over a series of time, but after a while when they learn that you are not going to respond back, they will give up and try to bother someone else.

Plus, it could make you look worse when you are responding to these posts. When you get into a war with someone else, and that is what this becomes when you get going with responses to the person, it is going to reflect poorly on you. Anyone you are trying to impress or to get to purchase any of your products are going to see how you react. They often will not notice the other responses or have any idea of how this whole thing started. Some might think that you are the one who started all of this and that could cause even more issues.

So just take a step back and try to see how you can react in a different way. Being set on revenge is not going to harm the other person, but is just going to harm you.

I'm starting to embrace the Zen of the ignore option.

Think I saw a thread somewhere that had specific rules. Not exactly a self moderated thread. A normal thread but with something like, this specific user can't post here, or something. And if he does then mods can take action. Isn't that possible?

Why waste time on people like that. I say use the ignore feature and move on.

Trolling might get you banned.
Create self-moderated threads and ignore him. That is the best way out.

Don't bother with a person that is just messing with you, bother with a person that is trying to help (listen to him). Ignore him and carry on with the work you are doing, it must be some low life person with no better job than writing nonsense. Keep up with your work, good luck

Ignore it. Soon enough the positive will out way the one negative poster. Resppnding gets what he wants in reaction.

I wouldn't waste your time. Trolls like to get a rise out of people and if you're going to post here or especially create a crapcoin you'll need a thicker skin. Just ignore him and move on.

Hi, recently I launch my altcoin and I create a post here in bitcointalk, after the post was created, this user start writing ofensive comments against me and my altcoin, he call me tieve, scammer, ignorant, etc, and he keep writing about bulls#1t ruing my post, and all that for no good reason.
So I ask him to stop but keep going and going, so I did as a normal person will do and instead of attacking him back, I contacted the mods of the forum and told them about this situation, they wrote back and said that they can't do nothing about, and advise me to ignore him and delete his comments.
So, what will you do?
Will you revenge or leave it like that?
Note: when I'm talking about revenge, I'm saying do the same to him here on bitcointalk, example, talking bulls#1t after about him and troll him. Nothing beyong that, I mean, only trolling.
As far as I know, a basic for all communities is the law, and because there is no low in here, should I apply eye by eye?
