Unless it is deleted itself (which of course I don't believe it) I didn't touch a thing. But maybe because of all those unexpected shut downs I did until I found the best overclock settings for my GPU-s may have done something to it. Really strange happening but I left a considerable amount to this wallet for almost 24 hours now and no movements so I believe I am safe.

Yep computer crashes can cause file system corruption. You should run scan disk on your file system just in case.

Most likely the config file getting corrupted during a crash and Electrum recreating it and your options going back to default.

Otherwise, no options are ever modified without being done so by the user. Not even during install of an updated version.

So, you might want to just double check that ALL your Electrum settings are correct!

I just opened Electrum wallet to accelerate a transaction (yes Coinbet24 is not to be that trusted anymore, the 5th time they send with a low fee notable with a yellow exclamation mark on Electrum) and I noticed that Electrum asked me to choose AutoConnect and I did choose it. Then when I clicked on view on block explorer it pointed me not to blockchain.info where it usually does but to blocktrail.com . Also the appearance was in mBTC and I changed it back to BTC.

Is this some kind of automatic update or should I worry ?

This happens when your config file is deleted and it resets to defaults. Your config file is in your electrum data directory which is one level up from your wallet directory: http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/faq.html#where-is-my-wallet-file-located

No I am on normal Windows 10 OS used  for mining mainly. I transferred funds to another wallet immediately just to be safe and let only a very tiny amount of bitcoin, still good enough to make the hacker make a move if there is any (although I highly doubt it as this is the only PC I use electrum and no other person have access to it, is protected with Avira Internet Security all the time) but just to have peace of mind.

No I have no reason to reinstall, I am only surprised of such changes without notifications. I am in a wait and see mode although I am confident I am safe to the max extent.
Maybe you just forgot that you change your appearance from your electrum before.
This is the same what happen to me before but i install different installer electrum stand alone  and windows installer i already had tbe electrum walle i don't remember but just forgot to uninstall first my old electrum and install standalone..
After that I import wallet.dat to my electrum and seen its set to mbtc showing  so i change it to btc..  few days ago i made transactions and check the explorer but i redirected to blocktrail the same as you mention so i think you install a new electrum or update it or you just forgot that you changed appearances of your wallet..
Well for me my bitcoin still there and i think still safe.. since you had anti virus i think it would be safe..
For me i am always using kaspersky total security because they support cryptocurrency..

Didn't do any changes on my own although the mining machine did crash a few times as I try to find the extreme overclocking settings to my GPU-s. Maybe that is the reason, I don't import this seed anywhere, I don't use this wallet anywhere except here, it is protected with antivirus and internet security so the only fault I have done is crashing a few times the system until I found the perfect extreme overclocking conditions to my cards.

I've never seen this happen before. But I also don't see what could go wrong by just selecting to Auto Connect (the server?). It isn't for sure any kind of automatic update because Electrum doesn't warn about new updates nor do that automatically.

If you are too worried, just reinstall Electrum from the official website.

I have not seen that yet, but I don't autoconnect, AND I am exclusively onion server (if that makes any difference).  Maybe you noticed something I might have missed, but I would have seen mbtc.  My transactions are BTC and usually not real small where mbtc would make sense for me.
