Seems pretty awesome. Can you provide me the link? I haven't heard of it...

I've sent you a pm with an access code, but it's really a bit early for that.

I installed the ILIAS academy software on HeadBoy.com for evaluation as part of the proposed Bitcoin Talk tutorials project, but there didn't seem to be any interest in it. I'm so impressed with the software that I'm cosidering keeping it, and using it for a Jet Cash academy. If I do this, then I'll include the posting stuff as a course. I started it on fit to Talk, but it is only half completed.

I agree with that. In fact the idea was to fly it in Meta, and get a feel for community opinion. If it generated some positive comments, then I planned to move it to beginners. I think it could still be beneficial to move it onto the beginners' board.

I think it can be useful to create a new thread on the Beginners board explaining what kind of thread "style" are not really being supported, how to avoid to be disrespectful or whatever. Anyway, taking a recent look to this board, I've come to realize that it has become an altcoin board extension since most of the threads opened are related to bounties/airdrops.
Anyway, it is never pointless to speak about your own statements, one of two concerned newbies probably will appreciate this.

In my humble opinion, the thread belonged to the Beginners & help board, since it is about your personal experience and oppinion. I think it should be far more useful in there than in reputation (I can't understand why the mods moved the thread to reputation since it is not related to any kind of accusation, it is just a statement about your own perception). Meta also seems ok, I don't get why they moved it to reputation...

Where should these advice threads be posted? I believe that there is a need for them if Bitcoin Talk is to regain credibility in the crypto world.

I get a bit concerned that I'm trying to push Bitcoin Talk in a direction that mods and admin don't think is correct. I'm hoping that Bitcoin Talk wiil be the place to discuss the new Government cryptos when they arrive. Because of the strong membership base here, especially in the populations of the emerging countries, I think it will be a great place to gauge popular opinion. If we are to do this, then we need to present a more professional image, and allow the extremely good technical and economic posts and posters to become more obvious.

Me too. I suppose, when the time comes to discuss such matters (well, it is already in here), we will still have the Serious Discussion, if it is able to survive to the new whale of stupid threads.  On the "legal" childboard we have had some good discussions already regarding the poloniex issue, the new regulations, etc. The problem is that this is a Bitcoin Discussion's childboard, and maybe you have it ignored ('??). Anyway, the good topics are always getting lost in between al the crappy ones in the child too.

I am guessing through some of your posts that one of the objectives the forum should be a better place is to discuss when government cryptos arrive, agree, but this might sound stupid, personally, I don't see how a forum with decentralized ethics is going to be a barometer to gauge popular opinion of centralized government crytos. And I really doubt governments would bother about what's being discussed about their cryptocurrencies on a forum like this and again this might sound like a narrow-minded opinion of a crypto enthusiast who hasn't gotten over couple of words, decentralized vs centralized, but it's not.

Right now as far as it's a Bitcoin forum, equally it's altcoins forum and with the arrival of government crypto threads, spammers would have enough reason to split the forum into a third. Yeah, sooner or later with all the developments in the Blockchain sector, be it corporations or governments adopting Blockchain, the forum is going to need a separate board for all these with serious discussions and no incentives to post or another board is just created to end up like the altcoins one.

Yeah, I also don't agree that post should have been moved to reputation. With that post, you straight up claimed to be putting posters who start threads with all caps titles on ignore and being a merit source IMO it would have been a better advise if first warning and then ignoring..

PS: I am okay with sounding stupid, but not rude, no offense meant.

I don’t think that thread should have been moved to reputation, it has literally nothing to do with reputation.

It probably will depend on the sort of thread. I'm not sure if that one belongs in Reputation though, and I certainly wouldn't have put it there. Maybe off topic if I had to.

I think it all depends on how fitted the thread it is for the beginners. If the thread's like a common knowledge for the members, then beginners. But if it's new or it concerns the welfare of old and new members then meta would be the right place to go.

Edit:
I'm ignoring posters who start threads with all caps titles this is the thread isn't it?

Sorry but i do agree for it to be moved from meta>reputation since it doesn't really concern the forum per se. But more like a personal public announcement from you that would affect other members reputation to you.

I see my thread about capitalised titles has been moved to reputation, which is pretty useless. By starting that thread, I hoped that i could encourage new and not so new members help us to keep cleaner and more professional looking index pages. I don't know who reads the reputation board, but I bet most of the juvenile capitalists don't.
