Should conclusively debunked accusations against other members relating to events specifically claimed to have taken place on the forum be banned  from being repeated? Deliberate and proven lies referring specifically to independently verifiable actions taken on this forum?

For example if a member were to state that multiple members have demonstrated theymos was a scammer and extreme caution should be taken when dealing with them.

I mean if the member was asked to present the evidence and there was none they could present, then should this members be warned not to repeat it without independently verifiable corroborating evidence. ? I mean if it has taken place on this forum then where is the evidence?

These kinds of claims are different to I believe member X is a scammer because he drinks lemonade or any other forum of mental gymnastics??

That is entirely different. This member is claiming a certain action has taken place on this forum and therefore must be able to present the evidence. It should be a Requirement.

This member is stating that numerous members have shown on this forum that theymos is a scammer?
This person is following theymos around and on his threads voicing this same claim although theymos

1. Denies he is a scammer
2. Denies anyone has shown on this forum he is a scammer
3. Denies anyone has shown he is guilty of any financially motivated wrongdoing.
4. Repeatedly asked to see the evidence where other members have demonstrated he has scammed people
5. Repeatedly asks for the member spreading proven lies to stop doing so

Should something be done? I mean this is clearly spreading lies and defamation against theymos right? Or would this be tolerated and supported? Just overlooked ?

They are claiming that something has taken place on this forum that has not and they therefore can not find any evidence of such.

They are making up lies and defaming theymos and repeating this on every thread theymos has ever started or will start?

What would he the solution? Or nothing would be done?

Think about this carefully before answering with an on topic and relevant reply.

This is a hypothetical situation.  What would be the protocol for this happening to theymos or any other member here? Would there be different protocols for different members being lied about and defamed?

Why is there not a set rule for not engaging in this behavior that results in demand for link or evidence, with refusal resulting in a ban. Ot immediate retraction?

I mean in cases where it is a clear attempt to lie and defame repeatedly ?

The forum supports these kinds of proven lies or would act to punish and prevent?

Free speech is a great thing. It must be limitless for all or sensible consistent limits applied equally. Else it is not free speech it is a biased echo chamber and entirely corrupt.
