This is not a matter of practicality, but it is a matter of experience and skill, if students use manual notebooks, then the hands of the student will be better trained to write and will be better able to know the meaning of what is written.

yes I think it is very possible, because tablet computers are much more practical to use and very supportive when applied to the world of education. it will be good if used correctly.

I don't really buy the ideal of using tablet computers for learning alone. At times it constitute laziness and distraction among some students. Tablet computer should be an aid to learning.
For me personally, I don't like studying for a long time using soft documents, it do affects my eyes and I get bore easily both e-learning and hard copy learning should be used.

Students should use the equipment that serves them the most. I don't think there should be any obligatory warrant to use tablet or computer. Everybody chooses what fits him best.

I don't think that tablet computers should become a primary way students learn in class it's easier for kids to pretend to do their work on a computer than it is with a textbook.
It depends on the grade you are in, if you are a college student and a computer science or an IT student or any other field, then tablets and laptop is useful to create letters and reports, make videos for presentation. I do have cousins who are IT students and they are encouraged to use tablets and laptops in class. I think at some point it was even required. Personally I think it is a great way to learn, even though a tablet and a laptop are not cheap. I also heard that some universities may start incorporating VR in class. I think this is a better way to learn than the use of laptops and tablets, especially in Science class or even History. Instead of sitting in your desk for an hour and listening to your professor, students will be immersed in virtual reality and learn their lessons quickly and better.
I would be very interested to see how VR would be used in the classroom. I can understand being immersed in virtually reality. What does be in that reality though? What could be done there and can't be don't in "real" reality. I'm sure you would be just watching a teacher lecture in VR. Can you think of anything concrete examples of how VR would be used. Learning through the use of tablets has been in vogue for a while. I believe that every object has the potential to be abused and that students may pretend to learn with it and actually get distracted. On the other hand, the advantages of tablets over textbooks far outweighs its demerits. Besides, tablets can simply be programmed to only allow learning.

It is worth trying because it makes it easier for teachers and students to deliver lessons and make it easier for us to ask when we are at home if it is necessary.

It can be a way to help them or to make studying and learning much easier but the traditional way is still different your more immerse. Oh and the smell of books is so addicting

For me it's is ! Easy to use, you can carry tons of book with about 1 kg on your back, why you have to use books, notebooks ? You can search any knowledge immediately.

Its good to use tablet for classes for fast way of learning but alternative way of learning through the use of textbooks should always remain so that students knows the value of textbooks.Using tablet has also a bad effects on students like it can store different application that can affect the students performance.

I don't find anything wrong with that..
Just grab the Knowledge from where-ever it comes.. it shouldn't matter if its coming from a Person, Computer or even a piece of Paper..

it is very likely to happen especially in big cities and developed countries, that technology is a part of life. there is a positive side to it, the use of notebooks and paper will be reduced and it seems to be good for nature's sustainability.

Imho, we do not need fancy stuffs..the most basic method (books) will be the best for education..Those tablet computers will harm our eyes too if we faced it for too long.

Haha, don't you find it a little funny that you are writing this from a screen? Or are you dictating it to somebody to make sure you protect your eyes? By your logic, children should be protected from all screens until when? Until they are 16-18? Then it'll be fine for them to use all the screens. Today's reality is that we are all using screens constantly. Using devices and the internet is one of the most used skills in adults' lives. I don't think tablets should be the primary way kids learn in class. If they were, couldn't the kids just learn at home with their tablets? Or right, no, they need a babysitter. That's why they need to go to school. Tablets should be a very powerful tool to be used in classrooms. It is much closer to what real life with be life for the kids after they're finished school. They will have a smart device in their pocket or their hand all the time and they will have access to all the world's information in a click. If technology can do something for us, why should we do it ourselves? Tablets are a very welcome change in the antiquated school systems.

No for me because all students can learn even without that kind of technologies. I know it is better when you have this but I don't think this is the primary way of students to learn in school. Maybe some schools using tablets and computers because they afford to buy those things, but for me not this kind of technologies are the primary way of students to learn.

I think they shouldn't be the primary way, but as a secondary tool they can be great.
However, I think they will be convertibles and limited to some asignments such as history or theoretical ones.

I agree with you, not just in grade school or highschool but even in college, it is a worse way in learning in class. In my class the use of gadgets is allowed and most of my friends instead of going through the topic of the discussion in their gadgets, they are instead socializing in the internet, like facebook, twitter, instagram, etc. I think that we have now the worst way of educating our children. BRING BACK THOSE TEXTBOOKS!

Should tablet computers be the main way students learn in the classroom? in my opinion this is not a guarantee of students will be hard to learn, it is not possible that students may use the tablet computer to play games while learning is taking place. the key to success comes from how much we intend to learn even though we only use ordinary subject books instead of tablet computers.

For me no. Because there is no tablet or computer's before and students can learn even without that kind of things. We only use books before. Maybe the rich schools maybe they use tablets or computers. But for me no need,I can be knowledgeable even without that kind of things.
