'The right to privacy matters'
i have av (avast) on my mining rigs, just habit i suppose.

i made a folder named "_miners" and all miners go into that folder. then i add "_miners" to my av exclusion list.

I exclude  desktop -----mining software-----  and three or four different  softwares for mining

So it is a 3x shell of exclusion       it works

I assume you're using AVG as your antivirus, right? If yes, then try to make an exception for Nanopool/Claymore. To do that, just go to your AVG options' menu and select “Advanced settings.” Then choose “Exceptions” and then after that click “Add exception”. Now, once you're in the drop-down menu, select the exception type and then browse the one you want to make an exception and click OK.

Now if this doesn't work, then I suggest you find another antivirus to use. Avast Premier, Kaspersky Total Security, Avira Free Security Suite and ESET can be a better alternative for AVG if this is the cause of the problem.

When it comes to download links, you can download it below::

Some Antivirus detect mining SW as a virus. Don't use it. Windows Defender works fine if you want have something.

I disabled both because each time I wanted to update my mining software, they would delete me the executable. Plus they have no use on mining rigs, so you should disable them to save power. Even if you will probably save a few cents a year, that is still important !

They work fine with my Antivirus.

What one are you using?

I wouldn't disable AV, but make an exception or something for the miner software if your AV is having problems.

If you download from Claymore and other big miner software names, they are perfectly safe.

I'm using Windows 10 Antivirus and want to change it Kaspersky Total Security.
May I ask whats your Antivirus?

Would you please send me direct download link of Claymore and Nanopool? I downloaded them from here:

Hi,

It seems Nanopool and Claymore are not compatible with Antivirus, should I disable my AV? Is it safe?
