clarify that...
not restricting gambling completely.
at least we need to add some of the words like "play responsibly" which is explicit in the advertisement banner.

Do you really think that will do anything? Everyone knows smoking is bad yet they still smoke, the same happens with gambling, people knows they can lose although there is people who are delluded and may think they have a safe strategy. I guess in any case there should be something like ''You will end up loosing in gambling'' or  ''There is no strategy for pure luck based games''

Its just fine as it is at the moment, they bid for those and mostly their the highest bidder so thats why they have the most ads here and its not like they know the stuff and thats why their ads are all over the forum ...they got what the payed for and in this case, their respective ads are shown here

Okay. I'm not really seeing your argument here.

What's wrong with most of the ads being related to gambling?

yeah exactly .its no harm that most of the ads are related to gambling. ohk OP tell it clearly what you basically thinking?

Do that to the signature campaigns too.

IMO, there isn't a need for that. Most people know that gambling won't win and the owners paid for the banner with their own money. Theymos explicitly stated that they don't endorse the advertisments.

i don't wanna argue first of all.
I don't very often argue, more debate. I only argue when I insult someone, which I don't intend to do often here. My apologies if you feel like I did.

the media of advertisement in this site is being monopolized by gambling
Because they are the ones that can pay for it. Until another service comes along that can pay more/match, there won't be another type of ad.

are there anything more innovative in the advertisement as we can see?
Gambling sites very often to things such as Giveaways on their sites, which is a good way to get people into using them. Sometimes people do still need reminding of said sites to continue visiting though.

I don't see anything wrong with gambling sites being advertised in the forum. If they paud for it, then it's fine at all. If we will 'moderate' even the ads, that would be pretty insane to say the least. I mean, seriously, why bother the ads at all?

but would you feel annoyed with those gambling ads if they were throughout the months and even years?
No, why would I? I have no interest in Gambling for them to perhaps try and tease me in.
A gambling site is a business. Businesses need people using them for them to prosper. Whether you like it or not, the only way to get people to use your service is to tell them about it through advertising.
It would be unfair to stop that simply because of the type of site they are, especially since the site is completely law abiding.

Also, hate to break it to you buddy, but a site in your signature is a gambling site. If you're so against it, maybe you should remove that first.

you may ignore it, but it is brain washing.
Yeah man, the general public is being brainwashed by gambling adverts on a bitcoin forum. Now, where did I put my tinfoil hat again?
i don't wanna argue first of all.
of course it is a business, it is sure that they are legal.
the media of advertisement in this site is being monopolized by gambling, well. are there anything more innovative in the advertisement as we can see?
well, i have no idea. we want something good inside advertisement, if i were not brainwashed by those advertisements, then i would be bored with them.

Well, we cant please all non gambling sites to make a bid for the advertisement slots below the first post on each thread. We are all free to advertise here as long as we win the bidding and admins dont choose wheter to accept the advertisement or not

Why?

They are as regular as other business and they don't deceive or steal people(in general)

Where will such restrictions end if we start to restrict business without good reason?

AFAIK, i have already seen more than 90% of the advertisement slots are being occupied solely by gambling.
those major casinos earns more than what we are expecting for from us, they may even put out 10BTC+ without any worries as they can earn all back from some of the people.
why don't we reserve the advertisement slot for non-gambling?

Because the very idea of the internet and the BTC is non-interference.
