https://bit.ly/387FXHi lightning theory
Why are you guys supporting the wrong answer and not commenting on mine?

I just converted a small amount of funds from xrp to btc and paid no fees in the standard coinbase app (without pro)?

Swap platforms are easier to use and swaps are instant but fee is much hire as compare to the much more elaborate exchange platform like coinbase pro.
That's right, swapping is very easy but there is too much fee you might experience. If that is a small amount you want to exchange and don't bother the fee, probably immediate swapping is the best for you.

Coinbase Pro is the answer to less your fee and there are also 0% fee for the maker than a taker.

Fees will really matter and Coinbase Pro is the best option to take. And even you have the money and can afford the fees but it is wisest thing is to save some as one purpose that we've been here and searched the best platform that could give us the opportunity. And we have found out that Coinbase Pro is the answer to that unlike to swap platform. Besides, it never takes so long to convert that could bother us to wait and I know OP could make it the same thing that the other did.

฿itcoin for all, All for ฿itcoin.
Coinbase Pro is always better on converting or exchanging your coins to other coins with less fee compared to the normal Coinbase.

ALright thanks i was just making sure. I havent done a coin swap yet and just almost defaulted to coinbase's ease of use.

I would try getting used to how trading works by using coinbase pro. After sometime, you will realize how easy it is to carry out a trade while avoiding hefty fees.

Are you sure it's not just fiat to crypto coinbase charges fees for?

When I use convert, I'm not charged a fee (this is different from the buy and sell options) so actually convert is cheaper (for buying at market).
