Claymore and Ccminer are not updating anymore...hope they come back soon

I think the reason why there are no miners out yet is because the programmers looked at the poor profits and decided that its not worth their time coding the algo with their software since nobody else would use it.

I really wish that SC just bricked all ASICs including their own and it would be more decentralized and they wouldnt look like a bunch of greedy individuals by the way they handled that last fork.

There are no miners for video cards that support the updated algorithm for Siacoin. Unfortunately, Claymore has not appeared on the forum for several weeks. He could have updated his dual miner for this coin.

It has been only a few days since October 31 which was also the Halloween holiday. Give it a few more days and I think that Claymore or some other mining software developer will come with a new miner ready to mine Sia with graphic cards again.

Winminer does a good job in adding a lot of coins to their software so they may include the first miner that comes out directly there, so you can mine through Winminer if you are to lazy to configure the miner directly.

Sia Fork FAQs:
"GPU miners will be able to mine on the post-fork chain once their software is updated with the alterations to the proof-of-work algorithm".

unfortunately no compatible miner has been made available to date.

and no one is updating their sia software.. i.e.. claymore  Roll Eyes

maybe busy? busy counting.  Cheesy

The difficulty is very high already, GPU miners will not be profitable. Try to use some profit calculators. You can put the same hash rates as before the fork.

They only changed nonce generation formula and not the hashing algo itself.

I have tried different miners included ccminer-truvot. You can get submmited shares but the pool do not accept it as valid.
Have to wait for a miner for the new algo.

The Sia network hardforked to reject all ASICs on the network except for Obelisk miners on October 31st at a block height of 179,000. I tried to mine it after fork using CCminer on GTX 1070 and had no sucess. Anyone mining SIA on GPU?
I think you can mine SIAcoin with Claymore Miner you check their thread here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/claymores-dual-ethereum-amdnvidia-gpu-miner-v150-windowslinux-1433925

Download the latest Claymore miner and then remove the ethereum pool from the bat script and put your siacoin pool you can also find the guide from the the link above.

Why delete ethereum pool from bat script? Your answer is stupid.
You cannot mine original SIA with dual Miner. Sia has forked and so claymore must update his miner too.

as the time writing all mining goes to siacoin classic if not using Obelisk. need to wait for a new miner.
