Alright, I'm looking for builders and people who can code some PYTHON if ever..
If anyone here has an idea to work with Python to connect
to a Bitcoin server so we can automate cashouts or
something like that, please contact me as well.

Just contact me so we can work on this together.

Where should the coins come from though?
I don't want to add NPCs who people can sell to and abuse the game.

The coin could easily come from advertisement and you can not entirely free from NPCs if you intend to run an economy like game.

Your idea is good and every suggestions giving to you here are great but using CounterParty assets for
the in-game currencies or something similar could easily kill all the plans because of huge charges on their network, people don't really like the way they charge on their network.

Alright, I'll take that into account then Smiley
So hard-coded in-game currency will have a value in Bitcoin then..

I'm considering something like above:

Quote
0.00000001 - Iron Coin
0.0000001 - Bronze Coin
0.000001 - Zinc Coin
0.00001 - Tin Coin
0.0001 - Copper Coin
0.001 - Silver Coin
0.01 - Platinum Coin
0.1 - Gold Coin
1 - Mithril Coin {fantasy metal}

Where should the coins come from though?
I don't want to add NPCs who people can sell to and abuse the game.

I want it to have an economy, and base the trade on users

There are some very inventive players or some call them farmers, who will exploit the smallest loophole in the game, if they find it.

I would suggest that you make the in-game currency very similar to the Bitcoin currency.

You could have a coin linked to rare metals traded during that time :

0.00000001 - Iron Coin
0.0000001 - Bronze Coin
0.000001 - Zinc Coin
0.00001 - Tin Coin
0.0001 - Copper Coin
0.001 - Silver Coin
0.01 - Platinum Coin
0.1 - Gold Coin
1 - Mithril Coin {fantasy metal}

We had these types of metal coins in a MUD I used to play called "BatMud"  Grin and it was very popular.  Grin

I would do this, if people show some interest in playing the game.
Still looking for help with development, ideas and the like.

Regards,
JM Erestain

EDIT:

Sort of a light-bulb moment. I just want to know from you guys if it's a good idea to use CounterParty assets for
the in-game currencies so they can have an actual exchange rate or something similar?

Straight to your questions
Game gold are not as expensive so I will suggest 1 gold to 0.0001 bitcoin.

But, it's depends on the funds of the dev right?
and i agree with the amount. also make a leaderboard which every week who have the 1st or until 3rd on the leaderboard will receive a hundreds or maybe thousand gold(it will attract more people to join).

Cash out should be made via bitcoin and auto withdrawer mode.

This is good idea.

1. 1 gold is depends on how the difficult to earn.
2. the cash-outs maybe use a minimum and maximum, it's up to you about the amount.
3. i can do with design graphic, but i'm freelancer, i can't do for develop.

So, right now I'm making a MUD using a little VPS I got from NoCroom
I'm working on it while I'm away from my usual workstation, and I guess I'll be pegging the currency in the
game to Bitcoin? I'd like a few suggestions and maybe some help from the community as well.

Just hit me up here with a reply stating that you want to help, and what you can offer.
For details on what we'll be doing anyway, send me a PM or an email to [email protected]

WHAT IM SURE OF
I'm making the theme the as the Spanish Occupation in the Philippines

QUESTIONS

1. What should 1 gold (or whatever) be equal to in Bitcoin?

2. Since I'm not that much of a whiz, how do you suggest I allow cash-outs?

3. Would anyone like to help out?

Thanks and Regards,
JM Erestain
