There is not much reason for lists like this.  It is a old way to deal with signatures.

If you really cannot handle signatures look here - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/signature-adblock-script-050-1003570  They can disappear... poof.   But these signatures do in  some cases go twords good  things.  I know mine go twords hardware which I enjoy reviewing.

No I do think his point is valid. The campaigns are annoying in their own right, but as DH said, they're also a marker that the poster has an extremely high chance of being a useless poster and only after post count rewards. People who post vague responses that look like answers but in fact have zero information like "check your hardware and software"... well duh. Sure they may make the advice more verbose than this, but that's really all they say without any actual useful advice whatsoever.

Furthermore this discussion has long since moved away from the original opening topic which itself has been asked many many times before so I'll be splitting off this discussion and sending it to meta/ and locking this thread shortly.

Or fans... which for summer mining I have spent over 300 dollars or so.  And still am working on it.

Join the club DannyHamiton has a 300 person ignore list.

Actually, the number is quickly approaching 700.

I am on it and now you are along with a few hundred others.

You haven't been on my list since the first week of April.

I was looking to share knowledge.

Which is why you are not on my ignore list.

When it comes to signature ads, I've always said that it isn't the ads that bother me (which is why I don't turn signatures off), it's the incentive that the ad campaigns create for hundreds of unknowledgeable people to create hundreds of trash and useless posts each every month that they otherwise would not create, making it more difficult for the users that are seeking education and knowledge to find it.  Users are constantly receiving horrible or useless advice, and invalid information, from people that get paid to dump their trash on this forum.  Turning off signatures does not eliminate ANY of that trash.  Ignoring users that participate in signature ad campaigns eliminates the VAST MAJORITY of that trash.  Yes, some diamonds get swept up with the dirt, but I can pick them back out later.  Given how much the browsing experience improves with all that trash blocked, it's worth the cost of missing a few posts from a few good members that happen also to be participating in an ad campaign.

If you take a look at the thread where I post my list, it specifically states:

(emphasis added)
- snip -
I decided a few months ago to just reflexively click "ignore" on any user that has an advertisement in their signature.  Then, if I happen to see that some other user quotes something an ignored user says AND the quote indicates that the ignored user is creating thoughtful and useful posts, I click "unignore".  As such, my browsing experience here at bitcointalk.org has been DRASTICALLY improved.
- snip -

end your no signature campaign.

Nah.  But thanks for the suggestion.

Happens all the time.

Nothing new.  Nothing interesting.

I see you have a sig ad, so I assume you created this post just to boost your post count for the ad campaign.  I'll just add you to my ignore list.
I saw it first time and i wanted to learn if anybody know another block like this.
So, i don't care what do you think or who are you Wink
As DannyHamilton stated, it happens all the time.  Usually it's poorly written pool code trying to compensate for itself.  AntPool is notorious for creating empty blocks.
Okay, possible.
But he shouldn't be rude.

As philipma1957 said do not let it bug you.  It's against all that wear a signature.   I have focused on hardware and helped many since day's of the dragon.

I wear the signature to be able to do more reviews for everyone.   It helps add a little extra that ultimately does get spent on new equipment.  My last review of the Avalon 4.1 I went with 3 and ofcourse was over budget of what I thought I would be spending.   But I accept this as I love playing with gear.  I have spent a small fortune on fans this summer to keep mining.

If you hate signatures there is actually more effective way's to get rid of them then a list, but he seems to like to put us on a list instead.

I have made 1500 posts on anantech.com
I have made 5000 posts on parts-express.com

I have made 3000 post on 123macmini.com

I did over 20000 blog posts around  the internet since 2000.

I got paid for 3000 of them.  I still made his list.

I purchased a 2000usd  mac pro did one of the most detailed up grade threads more then 100 people upgraded their mac pros with my instructions.  I made zip. So finally I make a few coins here and he attacked me as a mercenary.

OP do not let closed minded people like DannyHamilton bother you.

Oh and @ dannyH

I spent over 3k to do this thread on macrumors out of  my pocket.

yeah I eventually sold the gear  at a breakeven price why because I was not looking to profit I was looking to share knowledge.

Just like I do here.  So here  some money gets made why is that the nature of BTC  plain and simple.  It is a financial product.  Get over it and end your no signature campaign.
