If you really need the fiat and you have no other choice then you have to do what you have to do. In the meantime, you can try to keep expenses down somehow. It will work out better for you, in the end, to try to stretch your last dollar. The date has come and passed so did you sell? How much of it did you need to sell? At least when you need to sell bitcoin is doing well and you not forced to sell during bear season. This happened to me. I hate it so much.

Well you're the only one who can answer this. How much did you buy your btc btw? If you think the price of btc is acceptable to sell and you already gain then its up to you if you want to sell. Actually some investors now are accumulating because of the halving, many are thinking the price will rise after that event hence dont sell all your btc if you can.

You can hold until next month if you are not being afraid of lossing money during the hold event. Even though it's pumping right now, there is a chance the price would be going down because that's a behavior, so be aware of that. If you are afraid for that, then it's your decision to sell it.

I would strongly suggest to make those money without changing Bitcoin back to your national currency because you hold it until now , why now hold it one more year to let the bull market install ? I would not suggest anyone to sell Bitcoin at this moment. The increase in demand for Bitcoin will increase once halving's effect comes into picture. It is not a tricky situation at all. Nobody has a crystall ball so we can't know for sure if the price would be lower or higher at some precise point in the future unless you're one of the world's billionaires and you have possess the financial power to move markets by hundreds of dollars with a measly order.

My suggestion is to reflect what do you want to do with that Bitcoin. Are you going to need all the money or only a part of the 1.2 BTC value? If you only need a part then you can get a loan from Nexo or similar websites if you want to get into it and so keep your BTC, but at the same time that will expose you to other risks aka interest, the possibility of BTC to go down in value and you will have to put more as collateral, etc.

On the other side if you're not a trader there is no need to gamble with your money and hold it for another month in the hope that it will raise. Hope is not good for this game.

it doesn't matter what price you predict could be reached, you should have never invest what you could afford to lose or the money that you needed. so the answer is to sell now and only invest the money that you don't need (can live without).
for example instead of 1.2BTC or ~$10k you can invest $2k that way you are taking a smaller risk while still having an investment in bitcoin.

It does depend on the investor's mindset. If you are an investor, you decide what's best for you or what would give you profit. Bitcoin and other cryptos are naturally volatile and with that being said, risk do always exist whenever its market value moves, because no one know if it would be an uprise or backdrops that would happen for 'tomorrow'. So if you want to assure that you won't lose that much, seeling at this point won't be a bad idea. But if you are determined enough to risk, wait and profit will be earned.

What you can do is try to sell your bitcoin depends on the money that you will be needing so that you still have an investment and has a chance that it will grow even more. Also, check if it is reasonable to sell it all. If the value of it rises up before feb 21, sell it all since that is a chance to gain profit into it. But if not, sell a part of a bitcoin only.

The price may go up or it may go down, nobody will be sure of that. That's pretty hard to decide though especially when you are not sure for the incoming. But then, you'll need to decide. We will have to accept also that not all the time we keep on holding. We know Bitcoin is not just an investment but a currency instead, and therefore, we will have to spend it sometimes by either converting it to fiat money or just stick to itself depending on the way we use it.

The question is, do you need the entire 1.2BTC? because if not, you'll just sell enough to cover up your needs. You don't need to worry cause there is something left in your wallet, you can still at gains if ever the price will go high.

Current anticipation in BTC market is pretty bullish for the month but what I have learnt in this market is that it's always better if you take out the money for whatever reason it is necessary because many a time the prices may go downwards and then you won't really be able to meet your expenses and you might end up in a bigger issue. I have not even once regretted upon my choice of taking out money when needed in a few days. Maybe it's sheer luck but I feel holding it too is pure luck so better do the right thing.

Really tricky situation. bitcoin price unpredictable and now bitcoin price look like not good movement and not seem good alerts for near time, so my advice only wait for a moment maybe one or two weeks to get better price than now. must to be patience to take more profit

its easy to predict 10 days or a week but more than that is now harder , 22nd of february is yet too long .

Whales don't own most of Bitcoin and only a small part of the coins in circulation are available for trading.

A whale can temporarily crash the price but it will recover because his dump can only drain the supply of fiat on an exchange at that given hour or day. It cannot drain the supply that will come a day later and a week later and it will come because people will want to buy seeing cheap coins.

well even though you can predict it that way I don't think anyone can guarantee it because honestly the price movement of cryptocurrency is unpredictable so if you want to make a profit with your assets then you should be able to hold your assets until the price rises, even though you predict in February the price increase could be when after February.

We never know, but I also believe that it will go up with the halving. There must be a FOMO before halving occurs. we see until the end of the month whether prices will stable or go down, if it goes down it might be good to be a little correction and start rising in the second month.

Meehn I don’t know what the price is going to be in February 22nd and I also don’t think that anyone can give you the right answer. If you’re ready to take the risk and wait till then for the price to increase and you will be able to make profit, and if it doesn’t then that’s a loss. So, you have to make that decision for yourself. The price dropped recently and has been around $8.3k.

The only time I am expecting the price to go up is around May after the halving. Maybe for now it would be stable. You can check out Cointelegraph top 10 cryptocurrency analysis, it’s quite helpful.

I ever in your situation, it's quite annoying, when after I withdraw my bitcoin the price tends to go up, there is regret at that time.
Now I divide my portion of bitcoin partly for investment and partly for spending.

You need to calculate your Bitcoin from the price you bought, if you think sell now is gain profit or at least if you sell your bitcoin now, you have nothing to lose, then sell it right now is better option.

Sometimes i have experience like yours. But what i do is after i sell my BTC, i know i can't regret it. Why? Because no more choice. (in case you OP don't have other option than sell your BTC) and sell it only in that amount of money you needed so you can save some.

What do you guys anticipate in BTC price until next month?

Frankly speaking, there is some ambiguity in your statement but if you simply mean that you need money by Feb 22nd then I guess there is more room for you to hold and see how the price rises. For instance, you can decide to peg your BTCs at current price and sell of the profits when the price of Bitcoin increases.

Any way always go with your instincts k, we are all sharing our thoughts, yours matters the most so make a good decision!

As you have said, you need the fund by next month, don't sell it for now, sell it only if you really need to. Just find a good timing on selling your bitcoin, that way you can increase the amount of your funds. You just need to be patient and wait for the right timing to sell. This decision would be hard to do if you depend on others' opinions. I suggest that you think well enough about it. There are two factors to consider about, IMO.

Are you willing to take the price now knowing that it's around $8400~$8600?
Do you accept the risk that it could go higher or lower, knowing that no one could predict it

It's best to consider knowing that it could go anywhere. The best thing to do now is to prepare yourself with your emotions that it could go on a roller coaster ride or risk it and have a better conversion rate.

It is really hard to tell on what will be the price of bitcoin until next month. But you still have a lot of time to watch the market and wait for the right time to sell if you really need your funds. Also, just see for yourself if this btc you have right now or your investment already gave you a decent ROI, if so, you can get your money so you don't need to think of the possibilities like the sudden dump of price of bitcoin.

February 22nd is still a month away, and the price may go up significantly, or crash down. If the Bitcoin you have, when converted to fiat, is already enough or is much more than what you actually need, then it's better to convert now than later. The risk is too high if you still decided to hold and the time is not enough to wait for another pump.

The thing is we cannot predict when would be the lowest price. Some expect that the lowest would be on February, but all are only prediction really.

it doesn't matter what price you predict could be reached, you should have never invest what you could afford to lose or the money that you needed. so the answer is to sell now and only invest the money that you don't need (can live without).
for example instead of 1.2BTC or ~$10k you can invest $2k that way you are taking a smaller risk while still having an investment in bitcoin.

There's really no way to know as in my opinion it's pretty much just 50-50. Personally though, I'm fine with bitcoin's current price. So if I were in your situation, I'd just sell BTC until I have enough money to cover the amount of money that's needed for the 22nd.

If you're scared that if you sell now, it might go up in price, also remember that it could also drop in price. So regardless how the market moves, don't blame yourself if you've made the wrong decision.

If you really need money by Feb 22nd then sell jus how much you need by that date then get to keep the remaining bitcoin you have. Just make sure you leave some bitcoin for holding purposes so that when bitcoins price goes pump you can still have profit.

To be real I am expecting bitcoins price to be dump by next month or the next few months because of the halving effect, bitcoins price tends to dump before halving every year so I am expecting it to be the same way around this year.
