The Gulden developers have managed to create a truly CPU based mining algorithm like was intended for bitcoin. A couple developers I know who are avid miners weren't able to get Graphic cards running cost effectively against SIGMA.

I'm happy to see that and I'm feeling curious about is there a survey about how effective SIGMA to be used for CPU mine.
I hope that more coin can follow this step as CPU may have the same chance as GPU too.
But it looks like SIGMA is pegged with argon as its main key to make GPU will less effective to mine.
