In my own case for those user that are just being banned on wearing for signatures only prove that you as a user has contributed for the forum and one can sti do it because it is only the wearing of signature was only being prohibited or not functioning for one can still post without any signatures to wear. And that is one great news, we do not own the forum but we are given the privlige to be here to learn about cryptocurrency and at the same time to earn.

If signature banning will happen even if it's only for a short time of period i'm sure that the posts that are spam will decrease. Most of it are signature spamming where bounty participants would only result in spamming until they reach the required post count required in the signature campaign that the bounty participants joined. I agree with superpandabear that it shouldn't be banned if most of the post that are posted are not spam but unfortunately there are still spammers here in the forum.

Too many good posters gone now because of things done years ago.
What has this solved? Experienced people gone while all the shitposters are still all over the forums. It's a net loss.
This is why we have alternative for Perma-ban, it is Signature Ban. I edited the OP with two main suggestion to make it clearer at the start. Hope that OP looks better, and clearer than the original version.
Dear all Ban Appealers and admins,

Don't hurry!
Start day of Signature Ban should be considered

It depends. If the wrongdoings were done years ago and the poster has 1+ year of straight good content, they shoudn't even be banned at all, let alone permabanned.

Dear all Ban Appealers and admins,

Don't hurry!
Start day of Signature Ban should be considered

There are so many banned accounts recent days, as well as so many Ban Appeals created during the same period. I understood your feelings when your accounts banned; and your emotions and expectation to see your Ban Appeals solved as fastly as possible. However, I would like to remind you only one thing that I wrote in one of Ban Appeals. I think you might see my post as well as hilariousandco's post in that topic (or might not), but I think it is good (not bad) if I leave it there, so everyone who have ban appeals can see.

The point is even when your case solved with unban and signature ban for one or two years, there is no need to hurry up and burst Meta board with your bumps too regularly. I don't know because Admins or global mods did not write it (by now) that which days chosen as start day of signature ban period. However, I guess it is the day your account got Perman Ban. If yes, it is the same Signature Ban Period and it does not depend upon the day your Ban Appeal solved and account get unbanned.
Globals can now issue sig bans so it'll happen more often but isn't going to be a let off for everyone (so if half your posts are copy and pastes then forget about it but people who are getting banned for one or two posts from years ago will likely be shown some mercy).
It depends on how many times of plagiarism. If markiz73 only did it one or two times so far, especially did it years ago; and had good net effects, markiz73 surely will be considered and likely given a mercy, and can jump out from the grave. Above is stance of hilariousandco, that is clearly states that second chancce is not a common one for all permanent banned users due to plagiarism. As global mod wrote, each appeal will be considered carefully, by looking and finding past plagiarism, not only what already reported, but also global mod need time to dig deeply and find potential more plagiarism before making decision on a second chance. Past contributions and good net effects are clearly shown by supporters, so it is only takes time to find out more past plagiarism, I guess.

Cases:

By now, maybe my theory is wrong, but we need to see more cases.

A criterion on start day of Signature Ban should be considered and applied equally for all
I think it should be better to apply Signature ban period with start day is the day of perma-ban, not the day of Unban.
By choosing the start day of signature ban as the day of unban; it does not matter if cases solved after few days of bans, but it might be unfair if cases solved months after ban days.
