I see only a few replies and I wonder why.
Possum577 has posted a interresting question on signature campaigns and it has made me think about the subject.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1150954.new#newLet's get some feedback, from both the members and the advertisers of these campaigns... {Past and present}
1. How was your experience as a member or a advertiser. {Positive or negative.. tell us your story}
Good and bad. Primedice - my first campaign - was very good. I had the luck that I joined when newbies could advertise and get a few satoshi. It was not much, but more than faucet would give me. Other campaigns have also been successful, but attracted problems. I got negative feedback for staying with dicebitco.in when they had severe problems. I could however argue that I still may advertise for silverwallets. The best campaign I ever joined. It was a leap of faith as I did not know those running it nor knew the service and I had to stay for 60 (or 90?) days in order to get a coin. On top of that I also had to provide an address for the coin to get delivered, but now silver wallet #47 is on my desk and I love it.
2. How has these signature campaigns changed your life? {Give us a detailed story}
Im not sure if they did at all. They certainly allowed me to buy things though.
3. How much have you earned from signature campaigns? {Both members and advertisers}
Id have to check for an exact number, but its enough to finance several steam games, pizzas, beers and gambling losses way over 1BTC.
4. Do you as a advertiser think, you are getting value for your money?
I am none, but I think campaigns are only important for a short time. You see more and more services run a campaign for a few weeks up to a few months only to close, because it is no longer profitable.
5. Do you as a member feel, you get value for your time and effort?
I think this is the wrong approach. You either want to post here and participate or not. If you do you might as well get a little extra. I have spend a total of 80 days and 22 hours here as of today. Thats close to 2000 hours. Considering the minimum wage in my country and the current bitcoin price, I could have used the time to work a shitty job and would have gotten 63 BTC. This logic certainly has its flaws, but considering I would have written code worth 2000 hours its probably correct. I also dont know how to post if there is nothing interesting. When I have a bad day I find myself unwatching posts and think "dont give a fuck" today I would otherwise post to help someone. The possible payment that I might get for the post I could force myself to make is not an issue. It crossed my mind from time to time, but in the end its just not that much.
6. Does the signature campaign contribute positively or negatively to your experience on this forum?
Both in a sense. I see that spam is one of the biggest problem here and signature campaigns do their part to give an incentive for spam. On the other hands signature campaigns also have possitive effect. They raise the value of accounts and make scams less likely to ROI for bought accounts. They allow anyone to earn bitcoin.
7. Would you have grown in Crypto currencies without the monetization of posting on this forum?
Yes, certainly. Paypals flaws are the reason I created an account here.
Let's see how you feel about this and please give us some detailed stories on your experiences. {Good or Bad} Let's find out, how this has changed your life.
Enjoy! Hope you have a great day.
