Its is definitely allowed but I m not sure it would be profitable for you. Campaign manager plus signature bounties would cost you a lot of money, probably 5 figures a month, if you really want to make it professional and big.

On the other hand, if you want just a few people to wear that sig, well, you can try and see your result.

I think it's allowed to start signature campaign to promote affiliate links. In past I saw some campaigns allowed to put affiliate links for their users instead of direct links. So, I think you can promote website via signature campaign, despite that you aren't owner of website. But I recommend to add disclaimer that you not owner of advertised website.
And another question, is it worth to start such campaign, will you get ROI. If you start little campaign with few participants, probably it won't be very effective. On the other hand if you start bigger campaign, I'm not sure that you get enough affiliate commission to cover signature campaign payments.

Promoting referral links on the forum is frowned on and against the rules. You will have to clear this with the mods, if you

want to do this via a signature campaign and it is not allowed, then these members might get banned because of your

actions. The signature campaigns also pay high rates, so I hope you have a big budget... people are not going to do this for

a few cents.  Roll Eyes

Promoting referral links in the body of a post is frowned upon but you are free to promote them in your signature.

The second point is probably the bigger obstacle in that signature space is a valuable commodity on this forum if it belongs to members that post things that people will read and then notice the signature. That's why some campaigns pay high rates. If you offer low rates then only the spammers will apply and then you will be unlikely to get any value for whatever you do pay.

I heavily promote affiliate links for a well-known BTC broker (on Twitter, Facebook, and other mediums). Can I hire a signature campaign manager on this forum to promote the site (with my links)?

Or is it bad etiquette, since I am not connected to the site's ownership?

If it is allowed, do I need to put a disclaimer in the signature campaign ANN thread that makes clear that I am just a site promoter and not connected to the site's ownership in any way?

Thanks for any advice you can give. Smiley
It's not allowed afaik but you can put the link under your signature while your promoting the site your affiliated to. You could hire a signature campaign manager to promote the site and force users who apply to use your affiliate link as they post. Read these guidlines first and make sure to hire a good manager if you're planning to start a sig campaign.

Well, is it allowed or not?

Just to clarify, I am not affiliated with the site. I promote referral links to the site. I want to promote my referral links in a signature campaign. It's for a particularly lucrative referral system.

I just want to make sure this is allowed....

Yeah I would give it a trial run of 1-2 weeks and then decide whether to continue based on the results. I expect a low hit rate generally, I just need to see if I can optimize it enough by targeting certain sections (Speculation, Trading Discussion, etc).

If you're not promoting ponzi scheme I think it's a good idea, if you need a manager I can help you with that

If that's a ponzi scheme then no one will be endorsing that affiliate link of yours or there might be people that are interested but for sure they will scared out of it as the community is battling against the promotion of ponzi scheme's whether you'll pay people that will wear that link on their signature. But if that is some referral link/affiliate on an exchange you'll be having a good return for it with your targeted section. I'll give you a tip, those signature campaigns that are running for a very short amount of time gets less result.

the rates for signatures are very competitive out there.

there are many members and few have the privilege to participate in a campaign, so if someone pays you for posting, people should be grateful for it.

Yes, it is allowed to be placed in the signature. However, do take note that signatures may not offer a very high hit rate, and the rates for signatures are very competitive out there. Perhaps you can create a thread to offer rewards to those who signup under you and remain active. Smiley
