You can’t any longer. Some campaigns made it a habit to ask it’s participants to wear their animated avatar, and it became pretty annoying, leading to animated avatars not being allowed. Some older account may still bear their animated avatar though, if they has it prior to the date the change was implemented.
Animated avatars aren't supposed to be allowed, but I never got around to adding detection for the APNG ones. I'll look into it.
OK, APNGs are now detected. Old ones are grandfathered for now, in part because people have ongoing campaigns, but in the future I might (or might not) go through and remove them.
