Did Anyone of you lost password or authenticator of exchange and reset password? Then Did you ever ask to prove the ownership of MEW?  Because I was asked( I transferred coins from MEW). What is the solution for that? Signed message is enough for that? I think it a safe and easy way. Is there any other way to prove it?
Usually there are other alternatives such as mobile phone number or email to reset its authentication.
I've also experienced a loss of google authenticator and I reset via mobile phone number

could you tell us what exchange it is ? of course as long as you can sign the message you can show them this as a prove of an ownership.
yes that is the easiest and safest way to prove it.
do not give them your private keys or any informative data about you.

Ha Ha. Only you understood the issue.
Exchange is ku coin. My only concern is safety. I hope it will not reveal any sensitive information in MEW.

No it will not reveal any sensitive information if you are only giving them the signature.
everything will be settled.
also, did you verify your account on kucoin ? because if you did that.
they will ask you about your data, but if you did not do that.they will not ask you, unless you did something suspicious

Sorry mate. Exchange is not kucoin. It's okex. I didn't verify okex.  They ask about what coins i have, deposit dates, deposit addresses, account created dates. I provided those informations and finally ask me this.

Is that even possible? I mean to sign a message via MyEtherWallet like you do it using bitcoin wallets? Also never heard about any exchange that was asking for such thing. Most of the times you can reset password simple by email. Please share which exchange are you referring to.

Yes . I also never heard it before. Exchange is okex. I had long conversations with them asked lots of things and finally they ask this. Is there any security issue with this?

What you need is your private key and if you save your Json file on your computer then you can access your account. I suggest to open your metamask account and save your phrase password.

Not in which case it's impossible to lose the password from the MEW. If there was similar, I sympathize with you. To whom and what you are going to prove after loss of the password? On the official site there are instructions in order that that didn't occur.

If you mean mew, myetherwallet; then I tell you ; there’s no need for password or email at all
In MEW, you only get basic file and private key to safeguard your tokens

Never respond to any email regarding MEW
