I have a few accounts as well, PM me if you have some BitCoin to purchase them with.

There is rumors of SR keeping registration down for a bit as they move servers and to let the media die down a bit.  For those who do get these accounts, don't expect anything more than a craigslist where you can use Bitcoins.  The site is pertty basic.

How can you prove that the account works ahead of time?

I think there will be a lot of scammers selling fake accounts, I'm not saying YOU are, but it just seems impossible to verify.

Just wait a few months, there will be a dozen Silk Roads.

What makes it unique right now is the escrow system. Once a few organized crime hackers get to work, it won't be unique any more.

Use clearcoin for escrow.

You're crazy if you think the gov't doesn't already have plenty of accounts there. They've been there since well before me and I have a pre-2000 ID number. The lockdown is to prevent further publicity with the public, THAT is the real danger, because it puts more and more pressure on enforcement (see Schumer).

If you don't like Silk Road don't use it, but it's not the bane of BitCoin, nor are these activities illegal in all jurisdictions.

You are either a government agent, or a government agent will buy it from you.  I hate to see Bitcoin's reputation keep on being tarnished by illegal activities...

I am fortunate to have 2 of these, so I'm letting one of them go. This is the only way to get on Silk Road. There is no invite system or plans for one, contrary to popular rumor.

What you get:
Username and password for a Silk Road account

This account has not been used for any sales.
If this account has been used for purchases it would be of no concern to you because it would only mean MY drop address was ever used.

The suggested offer is $50 (to be paid in equivalent bitcoins). Feel free to offer higher or lower.

The account will be sold in 4 hours to the highest PM offer I have. PMs are considered binding and payment is to be made via ClearCoin within 15 minutes of the closing time, 10:00PM eastern.

Frankly the advantages of having one of these are pretty huge and there's no indication of any other way to get on in the near future. I'm also including some other important pieces of information that I'm not going to discuss publicly, but that are vitally important for you to have uninterrupted access to the site in the future (anyone who gives you an account without this info is giving you a worthless account).
