It's very different here in crypto the market is more volatile and sensitive. Investing in crypto needs more patience, risk management and continuous research of the market. You can't just invest and get hand in hand, you have to be completely in.

You should check out some articles on the web to completely understand how Forex is different from crypto and what things you have to take into account there is plenty of stuff available on the web.

I don't think that your approach to the forex market can be applied to the crypto market, because both markets have their own differences and characteristics, so when you choose to trade on the crypto market you need to adapt yourself to the conditions of the crypto market. Maybe you can bring the Moving Average strategy from forex trading to crypto, but once again you need to analyze the crypto pair you are trading because maybe it will be different.

i have no experience in forex trading, but i heard about it from my friends who's involved with forex trading in the long term,
crypto and forex trading definitely both of different,
you can't trade 24/7 in forex trading may be 1-2 days off day but crypto trading is always open,
i think crypto is highly volatile from forex trading, in crypto trading you can trade with lots of currencies but in forex you have to trade with limited currencies.

Well you have plenty of options on crypto but forex is also good but since Im in this space for a long time Im gonna stick with it. Plus Im doing a lot of free tokens from airdrop which doesnt have on forex. The platform is pure trading purposes only where in crypto theres other way on how to earn and adopt on your capability.

The same principles that work on the forex market work on this one, it is just that you will need to make some adjustments here and there in order to make it work, for example think about a tailor trying to make a shirt and a pair of pants, while the end result may look completely different, the techniques used to create those two pieces of clothing are the same.

Then even if there could be some differences, at the end both markets can be traded using the same techniques, so if you already know how to trade stocks or other markets, you should do well soon enough when trading bitcoin or other coins.
The OP must not forget the volatility. We all know volatility in cryptocurrency is very high, for sure you will be surprised.
So for me, other things like fundamental and technical analysis could be the same. The patterns, the charts, are almost the same also.

Crypto markets are highly volatile. Please start with little money you can afford to lose as you get to learn about crypto markets.

Starting with small capital will be better to know the difference between forex and crypto. This is the quickest way to see the difference. Apart from that, in crypto, there are many choices of coins, I recommend choosing Bitcoin or popular altcoins because quite a lot of altcoins require in-depth research and analysis before buying them. Even though they look the same, you will see the differences when you start to enter the crypto market.

Strategically I use the same approach, there is support and resistance, and that is a defense, when the defense is broken, there will be continued movement. However, the same strategy is difficult to carry out on altcoins or meme coins because they are full of manipulation. the thing that differentiates it is the characteristics of the movement, where the crypto world is known for its high movements, and of course there are no news hours like forex, which are certain market opening hours in certain locations or there is news at certain hours which makes wilder movements.

I don't know much about Forex trading but if you're going to use the same strategy with cryptocurrency, I suggest that you don't do that because there's a big difference with cryptocurrency trading and forex trading, I think that forex is more stable than crypto and the candlesticks are going to be a little different in forex.

So if you're ever planning to use the strategies you employ or have learned in cryptocurrency trading, make sure that you're not going to be treating forex as cryptocurrency, there might be some general similarities that you might see in the strategies but you still need to keep in mind that they're a different market.

Also, it can be a good idea if you find a trading group that's specifically dealing with forex trading rather than asking things here, a bitcoin forum, they've got more knowledgeable people there but be careful which group you're joining as like any platform out there, scammers are on the loose.

Talking about forex and crypto being different, forex is a currency backed by governments and dealing with SUPER high margins, whereas crypto itself is not a high margin thing, it's a currency that is free, it's a payment AND and an asset, also if you want to use high margin you can but you could also invest into it long term.

If you buy Dollars as investment as a European, there is a possibility that maybe you will make a few dollars, but not much, so you do high margin, but if you invest into bitcoin as a European, you could make a ton of profit. That is the difference, and the difference will always be there, it's quite important to know why they are so different from each other and why people make it look like that.

They are similar but not the same just as you have said, but a Forex Trader will find it easier into becoming a crypto trader then someone who does not have any idea of trading in general. I think the difference between the two will not be so much and for a forex trader to become a crypto trader, they may just need to learn some new terminologies and become used to some strategies and minor differences between the two.
If a forex trader does not try to learn the difference between the two and then just decides to try crypto trading, they will fail.

There's difference regarding on that but at least you already have an idea on how to trade. The next thing you can do is to search further more information that can help you on your crypto trading career there's a lot of information posted here and I'm sure it will not take long for you to became a good crypto trader especially if you already a good forex trader.

But expect fast phase on crypto since market is so volatile compare on forex where there's slight slow phase on the market.  Also don't get confused and try to slow down, learn to focus on interesting information and try to understand it before proceeding to other one so result will be best for you.

Forex is totally different from crypto trading, they may have similarities in trading and pairs but the networks are completely different together with the system, in forex, you're dealing with fiat currency while in trading bitcoin, this is cryptocurrency in proper.

Bitcoins and Forex are completely different. The prices of the coins and stocks completely varies on different occasions. So I hardly doubt that same strategy can give you profits here. Regarding the referral link, each member has a unique one and they can share it to earn commissions. You asked about investing for 2 years in Bitcoins, then that’s actually a good decision. Investing has less risk than trading and profit is also guaranteed most of the time.
Yeah and that is why he said not the same but he also said similar, which I can agree with because both are currencies and the mechanics of how their trading works are also the same. What I mean is we need to buy low and sell high to be able to profit because like you, I also know that they still have differences in terms of market movements and others related to it since BTC is highly volatile.

In investing, I won't say profits are always guaranteed because the value of our assets can go up and down since we are not selling it anytime. It can also be more risky if we pick up a highly risk coin but even if not, we might still be impatience to wait and do other mistakes, while trading can be less risky if we know what we are doing.

What really differentiate forex and crypto in terms of it approach,is the volatility same.
Before you go any further in the crypto market and carry out trading activities, of course you must first understand the true meaning between forex and crypto.
A brief summary of the explanation between forex and crypto.
Quote
Forex markets tend to be more stable compared to crypto. Currency exchange rate fluctuations are usually more controlled, especially in major currencies. Crypto: Crypto is known for its high volatility. the value of cryptocurrencies can experience significant disruption or decline in a short period of time.

Trading on the Forex market, if you want to do it first you have to pay attention to limited currencies, whereas in the crypto market you can freely choose more, as well as Forex volatility is generally stable, crypto trading.

I'm use to crypto trading over some years now and, I have experienced lost and gain from crypto trading until I became perfect to know when to buy and hodl for the bull season to come before I will trade but I don't have any ideas on forex trading, but I know that crypto trading will be more favourabe in profits making than forex trading.

If you have interest on crypto trading in this season, I will advise you to exercise patience for the price to dump before you can buy and trade, if you buy in the bull run and hodl, it will make you not to enjoy what those that used to buy in the bear run are enjoying.

Forex and cryptocurrency are different markets with different dynamics and volatility levels, so I don't think one could use the same strategy for both markets.

And how can one become an affiliate in altcoins for exchanges, and also hold some Bitcoin for long runs maybe 2 yrs
I don't know if you are asking about normal affiliates if that's what you're asking, every exchange platform has its affiliate program where you get a certain percentage of what your referred users invest or trade on the platform.

About holding Bitcoin, if you are planning to buy and hold a reasonable amount, you should go for a hardware wallet, but if you are just willing to try it and hold a small amount for now, you can use an open-source, non-custodial wallet like Electrum for that.

What really differentiate forex and crypto in terms of it approach,is the volatility same.
Volatility cannot be same in forex and cryptocurrency markets because forex consists of national currencies which don't tend to be too volatile most of the time, whereas cryptocurrencies are highly volatile assets as we all know.

There are many affiliates in crypto. even the largest exchanges like binance have affiliates. the matter of the violations of the ups and downs of crypto prices is more fantastic than forex. in the forex crypto market there is also a difference in forex the spread is very large so crypto trading in the forex market is less competitive.

Nope, crypto currency trading and forex trading are definitely different. You see, in forex trading, you can earn whether you sell or buy, meaning you can trade in forex if pairs go down or up. You have two options, compared to crypto trading, where you can only earn when the assets you have increase in price.

Yes, they are both volatile, but in forex there is only a set of times and sessions,  what they called the US session, the London session, the Japan session, and many more. From that, you will base your strategy and analysis in pairs in different sessions, because after the session, for example, gold or aux, during the US session, its price will become too volatile, but after the US session, you will see no movements in the market.

So I think they are only the same in terms of volatility, but in strategy, no, they have different strategies, and it's better to focus on one trading type only, as you may get confused and miss your strategy. Which is better? It depends on the trader.

Trading Forex and cryptocurrency are different. Although if you’re into crypto for trading and not for hodling it can be compared to the forex trading on their charts and how you can analyse them once you’ve read about their market structures separately. But holding crypto is different from trading forex. In order to make money in forex, you need to trade an asset against another one while in crypto, you either trade a coin against another one or just hold the coin until it rises that you can sell them off for profit.

The volatility are not the same. While forex has different commodities you can trade and each of them has their volatility nature, so is crypto trading also, every pair you’re trading against each other differ in their volatility nature. When you read dip on both of them, you’ll definitely get a better understanding of them both and how you can approach and trade on them differently.

What really differentiate forex and crypto in terms of it approach,is the volatility same.
In principle, it doesn't matter which asset you trade. Equities, gold, real estate, gemstones, crypto, ... the markets all behave the same: they go up and they go down, sometimes more predictably (beginning bull runs, ...), sometimes less. If you are already using risk management for forex, you can continue to do so for crypto.

But I would give you one tip: You have most likely used leverage in your forex trades. Please don't use it in crypto or you'll be out of the market sooner than you'd like. Crypto has good enough volatility to be able to trade the coins on smaller timeframes, you don't have to add extra leverage and seal your own doom faster Wink

Trading strategy is the same but the approach should be different, you need to be aggressive in crypto trading since it's more volatile.

And how can one become an affiliate in altcoins for exchanges...
It's basic to become affiliate in crypto fo exchanges and crypto/altcoins, check if the platform have affiliate partnership, sign up, get your tracking urls, share it, then wait until someone register under your affiliate link.

...and also hold some Bitcoin for long runs maybe 2 yrs
Holding bitcoin for a long run needs a proper practice and proper knowledge on how to do it. Usually people uses non-custodial wallets, airgapped device and/or hardware wallet, these are all called cold-wallets.

Haste will make you make the wrong decision, study it carefully and even though it will take longer, it will be much better than forcing yourself to start immediately but it turns out you are not ready for all the possibilities that will happen.
Holding Bitcoin for a period of two years might be profitable but it really depends on when you start buying it, because if you start when the price is high you might start to doubt that Bitcoin can give you a profit because the price starts to fall and you don't have the patience to waiting for it to rise again, so it's better to study carefully even if you have to miss the train for the current bullish period but you won't regret it because you started with the right knowledge.

If you are familiar with forex, I don't think you will have many problems when you traying trading with crypto. The TA is the same thing, just needs a little adjustment. You also can read for the fundamentals in this forum or other media.

Maybe you will find crypto movements that are more volatile than forex, and this is what the crypto world is like. Maybe you need to get to know the markets and coins that available in crypto. I suggest you search for it at https://coinmarketcap.com/ or https://coingecko.com. There you can find various information about markets and coins.

Forex
-Less volatile
-Regulated

Crypto/Bitcoin
-Very volatile
-Non-regulated coins/projects
-More risky i should say
Why speaking of regulation if you can make use of legit crypto exchanges you have nothing to be worried about but just that you should trade good assets like bitcoin.

What that is more important is to know when to average, or to use just 1x leverage, and when not to trade.

Forex is less volatile but forex traders can go for 1000x leverage. So how is crypto more volatile when leverage is also used for forex. You can look for forex traders and see how risky forex is will be what they will tell you. But I will say you still have good points though.

They are different markets with different formulas, rules for trading, leverage, futures and different regulations. So they will be affected differently by regulatory news and the likes.

Even in a same market, you have different operations of different assets and here you are facing with bigger issues, different assets in different market.

If you want to learn about trading.
Awesome crypto trading.

My reminder is trading is very risky and it's better if you don't trade, but invest in safest cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

You need to know the basics of Bitcoin, including creating a wallet, keeping seeds, cold storage, buying Bitcoin from platforms and keeping it until the middle of next year and selling it by next June. Thus, you will have achieved a long-term investment with a good return.

During this period, learn more about trading, as trading will be easier and more profitable in the coming months. To learn trading, you need to know the basics of trading, including support and resistance points, moving averages, and Fibonacci analyses.

Start trading using a demo account, which enables you to learn without buying Bitcoin, and when you have experience, start trading with your money.
