for most people an elaborate mining rig is too expensive. In addition most people don't have a comprehensive grasp on this subject/how to tweak the hell out of your hardware...So why not build an every man's rig, just like Ford did with cars?
Thats why I have the following challenge: what components would you use to build a single gpu mining rig for 24/7 operation? The following groundrules apply:
- Keep build cost to a minimum (how cheap can you build?
)- Keep operational cost to a minimum (how much would your rig cost annually in terms of electricity?)
- Minimum probable hash rate of 500H/s (to keep mining interesting
)- No flashing of GPU card (factory OC's are allowed)
- You can use any and all components currently available on the market
I hope to see some very creative builds. Share your build according to the following guidelines:
1. Specify hardware (motherboard, cpu, ram, hd, power supply and gpu)
2. Specify OS (any and all are allowed)
3. Specify mining software/coins you would mine
4. Specify probable hash rate/yield
