I mean that is why I am asking here cryptically.  If it is a no no then I won't even bother, but if that is the case are there other... less "regulated" and more open bitcoin forums that might want such a service?

Lets just say my mother wasn't creative when she named me.

And yet one of the strongest points in this community is the generalized mindset that control is bad, censorship is bad and what we really need is a self adjusting market/community.

The Forum, however, is a different beast, as it is the "face" of the community and some of the oldest/most active members are doing what they can to keep it clean(ish) without crossing the border of dictatorship. It's a fine line, I can tell you that.

So everything within reason is tolerated and even encouraged, but exactly what "within reason" means is open for discussion. I don't think there's any harm in giving you or your "students" (a friend of mine was cheating on his wife... right! Smiley ) the publicity needed here, but be prepared to be removed/blocked/censored if you cross the line of what most will consider acceptable, which in itself is a moving target as the community grows.

Rule of thumb? There's nothing wrong in advertising "illegal", as that is an artificial externally imposed concept anyway, and will depend on where you live on top of that. But if you feel the it is "immoral" for as subjective as it might be you'll be better off doing that somewhere else Smiley

Not illegal really, just sketchy and probably unethical (not on my part but on the student's part).

Well, I vote against it.

Bitcoin is going to have a rough enough time as it is, when shock jocks in the media start loudly proclaiming that bitcoin is used for money laundering and for buying illegal drugs,  when they say anything at all.

So the last thing we need is appear to approve of any unethical deals.  That will hurt every bitcoin user.

Well there was the explicit statement that you aren't allowed to talk about illegal things on the forums.

You'll have to say what it is to get any realistic answers. *Curious

I have a service for college students that I would love to offer for bitcoins but it might be considered "sketchy" by some (I guess the equivalent would be online music piracy).  Is that sort of thing allowed or tolerated on the marketplace boards here?  If not is there any other bitcoin forums that would be open to something like this?
