Slips has been designed as a platform you are able to challenge your friends and various other gamers, while still watching the streams that you love enjoying. A wager is placed using the company crypto coin, called the Slips token, and from here as a player, you are able to either make a challenging bet or customize one to the members using the simple interface designed by the company.
But this is not all as you can use the Slips platform as a browser plugin, which will enable you to stream on various sites. As a result, the platform allows the multiple users the ability to chat, watch and even challenge the other individuals in the platform and the different communities that they are already usining.

As a huge eSports fan, when the Slips project came across my radar, it instantly got my attention and I
decided to investigate it a little further. I’ve decided to review the project for anyone else who might be
interested in this pre-ICO project.
First let me give you a quick overview of what Slips is!
Slips a betting platform on the blockchain. They cater almost completely towards the growing number of
people who watch eSports matches on video streaming platforms like Twitch or YouTube. Users for
example can use the Slips token to make bets with each other, on a browser based plugin which integrates
directly into the Twitch stream they are watching.
Unlike a lot of eSports betting platforms (crypto and non-crypto) - they do not use data from the game API
themselves but actually use a clever technique where “paid” moderators can be invited to settle disputes.
The blockchain facilitates this … because moderators need to stake Slips tokens in order to win jobs AND
also get rated via the blockchain to weed out bad actors!
One of the reasons I found their target market / audience so appealing is that whilst blockchain technology
is by far one of the most important technological advancements since the internet, many of the projects that
have been launched in the last few years are very early prototypes/concepts and truthfully I can’t see mass
market adoption of those projects in the near future. Storj might be better option than AWS S3 for storing
files, but I don’t see people moving their buckets anytime soon. Same goes for people renting houses on
BeeToken instead of AirBNB.
Slips meanwhile have found a niche that is passionate. Their target audience is the millennials who are
already used to cryptocurrency. Whilst the mania that swept cryptocurrency last year has subsided and
profits are harder to find than they were last year, Slips has found a way for the millennial crypto-enthusiast
to make money doing something he/she loves! A streamer for example can take bets against himself on his
stream… he no longer has to rely on donations… how amazing is that?
Unlike other blockchain projects, the Slips team have made it clear that they are not out to reinvent the
wheel. Their project won’t depend solely on them creating a blockchain from scratch. Instead they piggy
back on the Ethereum network. The main problem that Slips has to tackle is building a successful platform,
marketing it to users and gaining a wide chunk of the market from the established incumbents in the space.
Now why am I so passionate about this project and it’s team?
Well to begin with, I was impressed with the speed at which they work. Since I joined their community
telegram, I have seen designs for a wallet get shared with the community and within weeks, a working
mobile version and Android application was released. The wallet uses a testnet blockchain and is fully
functional. They also released an exchange to allow users to buy testnet tokens. Plans are already
Now more good news is that Slips is hosting a contest coming ahead of the world cup. So you can be among the early testers and win great prizes. TOURNAMENT WEBSITE With the World Cup only a few weeks away, we are launching our own eSports tournament, a FIFA2018 tournament with a great prize for the winner. The best thing is that JUST BEFORE the tournament we will be releasing the first version of the Slips platform!
YEP you heard me right! A working version of Slips where you can use the wallet we released a few weeks ago to bet on matches during this tournament! So if you're not going to register to compete, you can at least join in the fun and have a flutter!
