I just hope that they are delaying their DAO in order to improve their project.

I have yet to see the SEC come after a group behind an ICO.  I hope they do and expose whatever legal loopholes they (the crypto people) can find in order for the others to follow their lead.

Probably they made a good decision of cancelling the crowdsale to avoid legal and regulatory issues that can become very complicated in the future.
I don't mean to sound like a numbnuts but these shitcoin devs actually adhere to regulations?  I didn't even think most security laws applied.  I wonder if the SEC knows about all these coins.

Screw up it's a mess
I should invest to Digix

I know! Now I'm so upset that I missed out on the Digix crowdsale.

I'm curious about this too. It looks like they will not host the crowdsale. I have been looking forward to it ever since I heard about it. I am floored.

EDIT:

There is some confusion with that article and what is going on with this project, Slock.it has personally contacted me to fix it.

The project is called "The DAO".

Here is the link to learn more -

https://daohub.org/

"When someone sends ETH to a DAO during its Creation phase, new DAO tokens are created in that moment. Those DAO tokens allow their holder to have complete control over the ETH in the DAO and it can be withdrawn if the DAO Token Holder wants.
They will use their tokens to vote on proposals. these proposals will be smart contracts that are accompanied by plain English descriptions of why the DAO should support their project (Explaining how the DAO profits by working with that Contractor). Slock.it will be one of the first  Contractors, but not the only Contractor, not by a long shot."

"Slock.it will follow this model, but we are not ready to release our plain English proposal to build the Ethereum Computer.... We will release it before the Creation of the DAO."

"The gist of the proposal is that we will build the Ethereum Computer to create a Universal Sharing Network that will Decentralize the Sharing Economy allowing trustless P2P exchanges of almost any item. A small percentage of every exchange of value on that network will be sent to the DAO and the DAO Token Holders will be able to claim their fair portion of this reward."

This data was given out by Griff Green on slack.

It has been updated on http://icocountdown.com

So it's essentially very good news, things are going ahead and "The DAO" is pretty much like anything in crypto has ever seen.
