Rather spiritual I must say … I’m not sure what you mean by “those who have risen to the top”, since that is subject to multiple interpretations (on the cryptosphere, on the forum in terms of merit, in terms of knowledge, in terms of account farming (joking), etc.).Normally I find that it is ok to take a look at how those at the top of whatever made it there, but the general mass of people (amongst which I include myself) need to have lower realistic feasible objectives, and therefore references.

To be honest, I did not get what you are talking about.
If you are talking about the principle and virtue of patience, then I will say that in every circumstances, you need patience for your to succeed. Success is not just about ups and downs but also waiting time. There are times that you need to wait for something and need patience before making another step.
This is a general concept that is easy to say but hard to implement.

This is one of the main reason why merit system was applied. Because many of us are in this forum wants to EARN not to LEARN. They want to reach the top without without making effort. Like what Zigzlar said, "There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs." success might take a while, but each stair is struggle you can learn from.
