there are better ways
i cant understand why people use those god awful things when theres much easier and much better ones out there
there ones where its a basic math puzzle
a series of numbers need typing
or even picture ones where you click a picture
and ontop of that theres the good old slider one wher you slide the bar until the picture looks correct you hit enter and your in

Hi everybody.

My very first post concerns the captcha which has just appeared on Slush's web site log-in page.

I was under the impression that these Satanic devices were intended to be solvable by humans but not computers.  Now it seems they are designed to prevent human access as well!

I was unable to log in using my tablet: the captcha is utterly unreadable.  On my laptop it took five attempts, and I think my eventual success was mainly luck.

I do understand the need to keep the scrotes out, but surely there must be a better way which does not also keep out legitimate users.
