But if you taught them and they understood it, they might even invest more, which could be profitable to them in the future.
That is the main purpose why giving Bitcoin gifts. Not just a gift but there is education to be able to manage their Bitcoin, not just a display in their wallet.
That will have a good impact on the person who is given the gift of Bitcoin.

Whats been shared is really good and this could've made atleast few users of our forum to gift bitcoin to the close ones.
But not everyone will do the same. Those beginners who are given $50 worth of Bitcoin only see the value of the Bitcoin and then choose to sell it.

I once gave my two nephews $70 worth of Bitcoin each. The first nephew held on for the long term until he finally sold during ATH 2021,
and the second nephew sold his Bitcoin holdings a few weeks after I gave it to him on the grounds that the price would continue to fall and he panicked too much.

I have also explained, there is no need to panic when holding Bitcoin.
it will recover faster than Altcoin.

Because if it's just some little fraction like $50 or $100, you know it will just be some little profit it can incur during a bull market. Also, I would like to add that if you think she is really interested in Bitcoin, then you should educate her about it because it could also be profitable to her. Perhaps if she's working, she might want to invest in Bitcoin too.
It will only get a little profit, the OP just said it is a small gift and $50 - $100 Bitcoin is a gift that cannot have a big profit in the long run.

I would say that it's just a starter to introduce Bitcoin investment.
I once gave $50 Bitcoin to my nephew and it grew to over $100.

I provide education about Bitcoin and crypto and how to trade.
It will be better than just giving a gift that they don't understand.
The amount is very small and the same will bring small profit to the receiver. However the step taken is really appreciable and the receiver will be able to understand how the market variation takes place with bitcoin. Also the price have changed, which will let her understand the basic of trading.

Whats been shared is really good and this could've made atleast few users of our forum to gift bitcoin to the close ones.

Sure, I agree with you; that's the best thing to do. Otherwise, giving Bitcoin as a gift is just like when a fisherman gifts you two fish instead of teaching you how to fish. If the fisherman teaches you how to fish, by yourself you can catch more than the two fish that were gifted to you. So, I agree that if you only gifted a little amount of Bitcoin to some and they managed to keep it, by the time the price began to go up and they realised little profit, they could easily sell it, and that's the end of it. But if you taught them and they understood it, they might even invest more, which could be profitable to them in the future.

What you did is not good for relationship OP, because that is where some of you guys be Carry away by love and start telling the girl your personal details hope that she will marry you at the end. Now that you send your girlfriend BTC as a birthday gift, don't forget that she will surely discuss it with her friends and her family member that will make all eyes on you in that environment.

I wonder how it is not good for a relationship?  Sending BTC is not a big deal anyway. Besides it is just a small amount.  If his gf start talking about BTC with her friend, isn't that a good promotion for BTC?  It is a small step for adoption if the people who heard about the information about BTC will eventually buy some BTC, use it or hold it means there is more people that join the BTC community.

Not all people have evil hearts, though I agree that we must be vigilant,  I do not think that this action OP will bring him misfortunes.

I don't think it's necessary to publish conversations, you are breaking privacy, even if it doesn't matter that you don't know who it is, the point is that it's something private.

Giving bitcoin to anyone becomes something very common every day, even indirectly, since pages like bitrefill accept payments in bitcoin for gifs that can be used in Amazon, Uber, etc.

I just saw this thread holy cow I did the same. I gifted my current girlfriend a bitcoin in her newly created non-custodial wallet. Atleast she have an idea now why I keep checking the prices on my trackers. As of now she's not that super interested but she are willing to learn. I believe that sooner or later before she realizes, she will earn money from the bitcoin I gifted to her and hopefully she will be interested to the point that she will talk to me initiatively about bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I just don't talk to her about my experiencr on crypto but she knows that I'm involved in some cryptocurrency transaction.

First, I would say that it depends on the amount of Bitcoin that you have gifted her, which will determine the future profit it can amount to. Because if it's just some little fraction like $50 or $100, you know it will just be some little profit it can incur during a bull market. Also, I would like to add that if you think she is really interested in Bitcoin, then you should educate her about it because it could also be profitable to her. I got acquainted with something new today, I had no idea that birthday gifts can be given in this way. You have done a unique job. As a birthday gift where normal people gift teddy bears or other interesting things, you give Bitcoin as a birthday gift to your loved one. Since you have already gifted Bitcoin to your loved ones, it seems that your loved ones are also involved with Bitcoin. If he is directly involved with Bitcoin, he will surely be very happy to receive this gift. And the person you give a gift to will surely keep your gift carefully.

Giving bitcoin as a gift to your love once means that he achieved a better place in your heart. Giving bitcoin to others as a gift is very useful idea but it must be necessary that the receiver have better idea about bitcoin because if he did not know and he share this idea with others so may be someone scammed him as the world is full of scammers.

Understanding is necessary because if someone does not know that sharing of personal information is not a good idea and sharing of information about bitcoin can be a reason that neither you will receive any benefit nor your friend will receives it. So it will be better to give your friend that present which he understands better and can get benefit very quickly and easily as bitcoin is expensive so keep it safe is also very important.

It seems to me a super original gift from you, I would have liked to know what her reaction was when she saw your gift, just like you but with my girlfriend, she has also been interested in Bitcoin lately, she has been willing to investigate even more, Well, when she and I started our relationship, I told her about the forum, about what Bitcoin was and it has aroused her interests in the time we have been together, I have been teaching her more and more and she has been quite attentive and intelligent... As of today we have increasingly large investment plans in relation to BTC.

Many girls in my own area wouldn't want BTC as a present on any event but the one's that actually know the value like yours will really appreciate it. I would like to say you did well and thats because the person you gifted knows it value and now my only curiosity is what she is gonna do with this gift like, would it be a start for her to start saving up BTC as an investment plan ?Or she would just sell it off in the exchange and use it as fiat and get something because Ladies are fund of wanting flashy things.
If I must be honest with you, I did tell you that, not everything is meant to be given as a birthday gift, and bitcoin is one of those stuffs, whether the person understand or knows the value of it or not, bitcoin is not ideal, or suitable to be given as a birthday gift, most especially to a lady..

You said it yourself, and it is also known generally that women like flashy things, and as such, no matter the value of bitcoin given to a lady as a birthday gift, she will still appreciate that physical gift that is shiny and worth almost nothing, more than the bitcoin given to her at that very moment the gift is given...

My advice is, when considering giving a lady bitcoin as a birthday gift, consider attaching a small physical gift by the side.

Bitcoin are absolutely worthless to those who don't know how high their market value is. So I don't think there's much point in giving bitcoin as a gift for whatever reason without explaining what bitcoin is and telling them how much it's selling for. Gold makes a lot more sense to give as a gift, but if they know about bitcoin and its value then of course you can gift them bitcoin instead of gold.

My moms is much more likely to choose gold as a gift than bitcoin. Of course that's because my mom doesn't know what bitcoin is and how high it sells for. But when I tell the value and how to sell it, then of course he will receive bitcoins as a gift with pleasure. The same would be true for everyone else, of course.

Is one of the best gift in the present world. I'm saving up my bitcoin for future consumption; there are necessities that arise on a daily basis, but I intend to stick to my plan: hold until bitcoin approaches $100k, as projected by market forecasters. Gifting bitcoin to a lady is not their thing; women want flashy stuff, and if they are given bitcoin, they will most likely sell it and use the money to satisfy their own personal desires and demands. Bitcoin has been given as a gift, which is wonderful, but most people are unaware of the coin's value.

In most areas, whether girls or boys as long as they don't know the true value of Bitcoin. They will have to decline the offer even if it's a gift. You present them with a $5 and a 0.001 Bitcoin and they'll choose the $5 cash.

In experimental videos that I have watched. Most women that have been presented with cash and bitcoin have no idea of what bitcoin is. The most of them chose to have plain cash than Bitcoin.

This gesture is a good thing and OPs girlfriend is aware of what Bitcoin is and hopefully she don't get rekt with her trades.

I think I am late to tell you that you did a wonderful job. The amount doesn’t matter which you gifted, but yes as you sent her the Bitcoins and trying to educate her about the same, really made my day. Tell her the basics at first, and if she is interested in trading, then teach her the basics and fundamentals of trading. Tell her not to become greedy at first by seeing the market, and trade by calculating the risk and proper precautions. Don’t forget to share us the results here. Good luck to you and your girlfriend mate.

this is a unique and good story and you are a good person because you are very caring about your boyfriend, I think you give btc gifts to your girlfriend that is a good thing.

and the right decision if you teach about btc and the risks of investing in btc.

yes indeed if save btc in wallet of course it is safer, your boyfriend is a great person because he is interested in investing in btc.

I would slightly disagree with you that he doesn't have a boyfriend but he sent his girlfriend Bitcoin as a gift. He has a girlfriend who is interested in Bitcoin. Before investing in any place, it is very important to be aware of its risks, because where there is a chance to gain, there is also a risk of loss.

You are right to always keep your assets in your personal wallet, because in this way your assets remain under your own control and are more secure. If someone has knowledge about Bitcoin, he must inform others about Bitcoin. In this way more and more people can be attracted towards investment in Bitcoin.
When you suggest sending Bitcoin as a gift, I feel your delight. Isnt it digitally storing gold money for someone special? I can imagine the recipient's amazement. Im skeptical, though. Gifting Bitcoin is new and exciting, but dont forget the crazy ride. Bitcoin is volatile, so if the recipient is new to crypto, the gift could be a Pandora's box.

I agree with personal wallets for valuables. Your digital Fort Knox. Remember that our practices determine security. Strong passwords, two-factor authentication, and phishing awareness are essential. Bitcoin education is crucial. I love helping others navigate the crypto realm by sharing what I've learnt.

Seems like he misunderstood the post, but it's common knowledge that whenever you will invest onto something where there's involved risk such as volatile situation, scams or fraud, then for sure you would have to study and be knowledgeable into that thing you would stake your money with. Since OP's already involved in crypto, he could already teach the basic things about crypto but still it depends on the knowledge of his girlfriend if she's gonna be good at this industry. Well the assets he gifted to her girlfriend is already a good worth of money to start investing.

Thanks for all the overwhelming response for the incident that has been shared

Till date I haven't met her personally after sending the small amount of bitcoin. When I meet her what all things I need to brief her. It would be helpful if I get some precise points that can make a new one understand it in the short time of discussion.

When a person first learns about cryptocurrencies, he is more interested in investing in bitcoins in particular. OP It's really interesting since you said you gifted Bitcoin to your friend on his birthday. If this is the first time your friend has started trading in Bitcoin, then he must be happy to receive a Bitcoin gift from you. But since your friend has created a Binance account for the purpose of trading, you need to help him a lot. Of course he will demand special advice from you so he will be more than happy if you help him by giving him all the information about Bitcoin. and your friend can cross this journey beautifully so that he can learn about it. Warn your friend not to encounter fraud while investing and advise him to start trading later.

I know it is not good to send gifts to the centralized exchanges. During the conversation she said she is interested to learn about trading and for that purpose she had downloaded Binance. While meeting her in person I will brief her better about the security and need for non custodial wallet.
Of course it's good that you are going to explain her the problems related to keep funds on exchanges but what worries me the most is this part: "she is interested to learn about trading", I mean, for real? On average 85% of the traders lose their money, is she so confident she's going to to be in that 15%? I don't know, isn't it better to explain her how bitcoin works and just buy a little every month instead of trading?

I know it is not good to send gifts to the centralized exchanges.

The fact is that there are many entry points for people starting their crypto journey like your girlfriend choosing to learn to trade. In this case, recommending her a good exchange wouldn't be a bad thing.

To teach someone crypto according to their preferences, you have to forget yourself as an idealist.

Gifting someone Bitcoin however small is the best that you can give a person on her birthday now that she has Bitcoin you have to talk to her personally and guide her on how to use a custodial wallet the risk in trading and using a centralized exchange to store Bitcoin.

Its the responsibility of the giver to guide the receiver on the proper management, history, and potential of Bitcoin, you cannot do this in one session so its better to gift her an e-book about Cryptocurrency, urge her to read the whitepaper and, its better if you can compile the best videos of Bitcoin on Youtube for her to watch.

Well, in as much as I don't want to make you feel bad, I still maintain  that gifting bitcoin to a newbie isn't a better idea as there could have been more valuable  gifts she would have appreciated  over having bitcoin  now.
I also don't know how close you guys might be, but I think you would have taken time to educate her and give her a private tutorship rather than gifting her bitcoin as there are already alot of risks associated with it due to it's high volatility.

Well just as I said that I don't know the relationship  between you guys, but I don't understand  Spanish or what language  you guys communicated in but judging from the lot of love and happy emojis, I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to shot your shot except you're  married or already committed else go shot your shot man, I'm behind you😁🤣

It was a meaningful gift, and I'm sure she was delighted you did it with her. Recently I also saw a topic about giving bitcoins on the wedding day, but honestly, bitcoin will be a very meaningful gift if the recipient knows what it is and its value. But it doesn't make any sense if you give bitcoins to someone they don't know what it is.
Many people will object when you and her use Binance, but in this situation, I don't think there will be any other choice as she is relatively new and maybe Binance account is the only wallet she owns. Of course, you should tell her about the pros and cons of holding bitcoins on a centralized exchange, but with that amount of bitcoins, it would be really unwise to tell her about withdrawing bitcoins to the non-custodial wallet.
Such stories are seen regularly now. these have become commonplace now. so these things don't seem too surprising now. so op's story doesn't surprise us now. but these stories are admirable because they are commonplace now, but not commonly seen. However, a non-custodial wallet should be used for both transaction and holding of Bitcoins as the Bitcoins are completely under self control and safe. Therefore, before giving someone a gift or encouraging them to invest, they should first be informed about the use of the wallet.

Long back while having conversation with one of my girlfriend she said she was interested into cryptocurrency. Quite often she used to watch more details on Instagram posts and doesn't have proper knowledge to get into it. Days passed and today it is her birthday. I remembered the conversation and wished her. Already she had Binance, so requested her to send the bitcoin address and send a small amount of 0.0011BTC as birthday gift.
You have done well by gifting her the bitcoin, am always interested in females trying to learn about bitcoin, since she those not really have much knowledge about bitcoin and trading yet, then it’s better you just give her your time so that you will teach her about trading, and bitcoin investment incase later if she is interested in investing in bitcoin.

I noticed something about your post, you shouldn’t have added the amount which you gifted her, and the picture which you uploaded, you should have blurred the part which the amount of bitcoin you sent to her is showing, you don’t have to show the amount sent to you before people will believe you.

It's nice to have a girlfriend or a wife who is also into Bitcoin because it can make your relationship twice better. But I think this isn't really surprising knowing that cryptos' popularity are now very high. We only get shocked one day that our partner will confess to us that they are now into Bitcoin but sometimes they will get encouraged to us when they see us daily dealing with Bitcoin.

I see that it was your girlfriend's birthday last time, so I'm also wishing her a belated happy birthday. The gift you send may not be that huge but for sure he is happy and appreciates it a lot because it came from a special person. Besides, the amount can still grow if he HODL it a little longer.

The right things always happen at the right moment. You having the thought and she already being prepared shows how much there is synchronicity in the relationship.
For the fact you didn't get to spend so much on a luxurious gift, i respect that.
Am curious to know what she did with the coins you gifted her however, and am wondering if you already introduced her to a community forum as this, where she gets to participate and learn more in addition to what you would teach her.

Women who appreciate such kinda gifts from their spouses, contribute enormously to a happy and prosperous home. Unless she is the type that seems like she would swindle you of your funds, be smart. Not your keys, not your coins!

Hope it didn't cost much more than you anticipated knowing how Bitcoin price is almost at 29k and climbing?

Seriously though, this is a lovely gift that anyone who is interested in bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general will adore getting from their significant other.Sincerely speaking, this is unique, and I would want to imitate it.

I know it is not good to send gifts to the centralized exchanges. During the conversation she said she is interested to learn about trading and for that purpose she had downloaded Binance. While meeting her in person I will brief her better about the security and need for non custodial wallet.

So far, she wants to learn trading, and she was the one that recommended Binance to herself, not bad there, but always try to remind her that exchanges are not reliable despite the reputation they may have gave. for better and stronger security purposes about her bitcoin, let her get a non-custodial wallet, as you said, so that if she has money later to invest more in bitcoin she will think of leaving her Bitcoin in any exchange because if she got familiar with uses  of exchange It will be hard for her moving her coins away from exchanges.

You are absolutely right mate. For her to have recommended binance to you, it means she has gotten more knowledge on bitcoin herself and this would make things much easier for you to teach her.
Like I earlier emphasized, her coin safety is very paramount because it has to do with funds and assets. So therefore, you must be up to the task of putting her through the entire system so she could get acquainted to how it works irrespective of the fact that she has done a little research on it. That should be a plus to her knowledge be she wiu learn and relearn some processes involved for her safety.

They only know Bitcoin from information from various social media but do not fully understand how to use it. This limitation makes some people unable to develop knowledge because there is no one beside them who can teach directly about Bitcoin. I think it's really lucky someone who has a girlfriend who can teach him how to save and invest safely.
The first prize in the form of Bitcoin will further encourage him to be more consistent in learning more about investing, besides that more people will become familiar with Bitcoin due to people directing how to use Bitcoin safely.
Initial information from social media is enough to lead them to learn about bitcoin and engagement matters directly depending on how they try to learn it. Actually there is nothing difficult because there are many videos about investing in social media, it's just that it takes a little seriousness in learning so that it leads them to real knowledge, unless they don't want to study seriously.

Let's hope for more positivity and hopefully the gifts given can encourage him to be more consistent in investing in bitcoin. Regarding how to use bitcoin properly, I'm sure on the way they will learn by themselves and the directions will probably help them to perfection in the learning process.

I know it is not good to send gifts to the centralized exchanges. During the conversation she said she is interested to learn about trading and for that purpose she had downloaded Binance. While meeting her in person I will brief her better about the security and need for non custodial wallet.
Bravo, I imagine how proud you'd be. I know that 0.0011BTC as birthday gift may be something you can afford to lose but how about the recipient? How would she feel if she loses it on the exchange? When you talk to her about security do ensure that you set up a software wallet for her. One your mind would be at rest. She would too be happy.

Nice and that's a gesture that you like her to get into trading as well. With that amount, she can learn a lot but don't expect that it'll grow too quickly for her.
Just advice her that she just enjoy what she's about to learn with that amount and don't be too greedy and if she's able to make profit from that, take profit no matter how much it is gonna be.

I am still very surprised op giving Bitcoin gift to one of his girlfriends which is absolutely amazing to know that he has plenty women in his arsenal. Congratulations to both of you and i hope she is not going to sell the coin when she has emergency. You need to lecture her on how profitable she can be if she keep the coin and focus on buying more Bitcoin for the future.
Since we are going to see a great move in price of Bitcoin by next year, it is very important for us to hold and buy more so we can make more profits from the market when Bitcoin has a big increase in price.

So what else would she do with the Bitcoin on her Binance account if not sell it? Well, sorry to say, if she was interested in crypto just as you have said, then she would really be more interested in holding that Bitcoin in a self-costodial wallet, and you probably would have even guided her to download one of the good mobile wallets app and send it there, because I think you must be aware of the issues with the SEC and Binance lately and the case of Bitcoin and the government at present. Really advising some crypto newbies to trust a CEX is not what I consider to be wise advice, and by the way, even if she is not going to sell the Bitcoin, why waste the fee to send it to Binance when you could have just asked her to create a self-costodial wallet and send it there? Then she can hold it.

Now many people are involved with Bitcoin but I have never heard or seen that one can gift Bitcoin to a loved one on their birthday. But anyway we usually give teddy bears or phone flowers etc for birthdays. But op gave his girlfriend bitcoins. I think we also got new birthday gift ideas through op. I think op's girlfriend is involved with bitcoin so it's easy to wish her birthday via bitcoin op. With op we can send greetings to girlfriends with Bitcoin.

Whatever the OP is doing is to share the joy here, by giving a girlfriend a birthday present in bitcoin, so is this your first time giving a gift in bitcoin?

Binance is a good exchange, if your girlfriend is already interested in bitcoin and other trading then you should guide her well how about the basics, with a capital of $30 for me it was enough and let her trade in spot trading to start it and this step should be done with you so that your boyfriend understands better with guidance from you.

I appreciate what the OP did to gift Bitcoin to his girlfriend. It was a good attempt to start introducing Bitcoin, but it was a poor attempt to provide an introduction to the security of his Bitcoin asset.
But even then an exchange like Binance might be an option because it also serves as a platform to trade and teach trading to your girlfriend.

0.0011 BTC is a small amount, but it is not important about the amount, it is important how you introduce Bitcoin, its advantages and disadvantages.
For the next birthday gift, it might be better to give a surprise in the form of an item that can store Bitcoin, namely a Hardware Wallet, it will be quite memorable and become a memorable item that will not be forgotten.

This is not new though there have been members here who did that in time past but you did well mate. I know she would be much happier for the time being but this is good you  do the needful in time.
You know birthday comes once in every year. So when it comes to that special day, celebrate like never before, jubilate and sing praise to mark your birthday.

Congratulations.

OP what you did for your friend is a nice gesture but let me give you some advice, the next gift teach him to leave platforms like Binance and use his own private keys and use services like Bisq or Robosats to buy Bitcoin or Pocket Bitcoin if you have the possibility to make a transfer.

Oh that's nice! It doesn't matter how big or small the amount is. What matters is how you helped her achieve a small goal of her to have her own Bitcoin. And at the same time, it could be her starting journey in Bitcoin. I think op will do good in helping his friend learn more about Bitcoin, considering that you already have knowledge and experience in bitcoin.
To be honest, it's much better to teach crypto and bitcoin to those who are really interested and eager to learn. Unlike those who are just somehow forcing themselves to learn.

It's a good one from you @op, and a big congratulations to the birthday girl, a bitcoin as a birthday is indeed special, most especially to someone who must have had interest in joining the crypto revolution but lack the knowledge and maybe the resources to buy their first bitcoin, from the several happy emojis she added to her chat, I can sense how happy and pleased she was with the bitcoin gift..

But then, @op, if like you said, she interested in learning how to trade, you have to spend time with her so are to properly guide her, if you leave her to do her own trial and errors, 0.001 bitcoin isn't that much, she might lose everything in a twinkle of an eye, so please make time available to guide her .

Already she had Binance, so requested her to send the bitcoin address and send a small amount of 0.0011BTC as birthday gift.
Bitcoin information has been widely circulated on social media and many people are familiar with bitcoin by now, but the problem is how involved people are in investing and how confident they are in using it. I wonder if you are giving these bitcoins as a gift only and how far you can lead them to be consistent in investing. If it's a gift and he isn't consistent over the long term then it's a shame because he won't be benefiting from the gift in leveraging bitcoins.
They only know Bitcoin from information from various social media but do not fully understand how to use it. This limitation makes some people unable to develop knowledge because there is no one beside them who can teach directly about Bitcoin. I don't think the fact that nobody teaches bitcoin is a barrier for some people because most of the information is on the internet, if someone really wants to learn and want to invest in bitcoin, then they will find a way. I am a self-taught person without any guidance, I do not say I am good, but if we are passionate and love bitcoin, nothing can stop us. But if you are lucky enough to be taught by an experienced person, the better because you will avoid unnecessary incidents.
Bitcoin will be a very meaningful gift if the recipient is someone knowledgeable about Bitcoin, OP, you really did a good job of inspiring your girlfriend.

I really like how you surprised him on his birthday by sending a small amount of Bitcoin to his wallet. Of course your girlfriend is very happy with this small gift because she is very interested in pursuing Cryptocurrency. One clap, two dead flies, that's how your girlfriend feels. He feels cared for by you and at the same time he can own Bitcoins as he wants.
Please tell your girlfriend, don't put too much trust in centralized exchange wallets, to keep the assets safe it's better to transfer them to a wallet that can be controlled directly by having a private key.

The nature of girls is always to love money, and since she knows that having Bitcoin in her wallet equates to having money, she will undoubtedly become excited once she sees the market booming. I hope she does not end up selling because there are many trading principles, including knowing when to take profits and keep the capital as well as managing risk, and once she finds it interesting girls are better in time of dedication, so I am sure she will be a better trader. Because you intend to accompany her through the introduction and because security should be taken seriously, neither your key nor your coin should not be overlooked.

Some maybe like that but don't generalize it since there are girls willing to do their own hustle just to get something that they can earn money with. We should recognize that there are hardworking girls that can able to do what men can do so if we see something like what Op posted then its good indication that she's interested with it. Also its good that OP give him some amount to start so that she can test out if he really wanted to participate since he can test out how risky the market on the amount given by him.

This might go two ways....

1. The Bitcoin price goes through the roof and you still have her as a girlfriend and she will be super happy with you....

or

2. The Bitcoin price goes through the roof and she is not your girlfriend anymore and you will kick your ass that you gave her those bitcoins.

I guess, people do silly things for love.... but it can pay off if you do this and it brings you closer together. It is always nice if you have something in common.... and having Bitcoin in common...... can just be a good thing.  Wink
That's a misunderstanding. Girl friend means, she is a friend of mine. I'm already married and she's also married. We're family friends and today received special food prepared by her husband. So, this is just a way to let her explore more about bitcoin. Just because it's her birthday I presented her with bitcoin gift remembering the conversation we had about bitcoin earlier. Smiley
yes it looks a bit confusing actually at the beginning of your sentence, I think you are a playboy who gives a Bitcoin gift to one of your girlfriends, many people misunderstand here who think it is your girlfriend or your partner. you should be able to call them just friends.
you are very generous giving Bitcoin gifts to your friends, so your intention is to give a gift to him so that she can use as initial capital to learn trading?. I hope you can teach your friends patiently and well because trading might be a little difficult for someone who is just starting out for the first time.

I read your post and still don't understand why this is posted here.
Well, you gave your girlfriend a gift in the form of bitcoin, so what? Now you need to praise with this or want to hear the approval of the BTC-community? In my opinion, this is an ordinary event about which it is not necessary to tell everyone and create a separate topic. I am not writing this to criticize you, but simply because I don't see any message from this story.

0.0011BTC? I don't consider this a reason to worry about storage on a centralized exchanger. The amount is quite insignificant. You could have given more ~30$ for birthday, greedy man. Smiley
Sorry if this hasn't made any sense. I thought of sharing the incident, this is the first time I'm gifting bitcoin. Another thing I forgot to mention, she is working in a Bank. Maybe looking this thread someone from our community can gift bitcoin to their closer ones.

I don't have much to gift. I've gifted half of my weeks pay. In my country $30 is big money. Maybe in the future if I was good enough to make big money I will think of gifting big money.

Don't worry its all good, many of us appreciates your story Smiley.  It is good to have a real life story on how Bitcoin is being shared to our love ones.  I find it great that you make your girlfriends wish come true on her birthday.  Although in some country the amount of BTC you gifted is not that huge, what important is the thought that you want to make your girlfriends wish to trade to have a kickstart.

I feel that I've gifted at the right moment. When I gifted it was valued around $29.50 and now checked with the transaction and it is $33.50. The difference is small, and surely this will give her the better understanding about the growth in the price. Same as that soon she'll also understand about the crash in the market. Rather than someone saying it, experiencing the same is far better.
You did great! Now teach her how to create a wallet and why she should store bitcoin in wallets and keep the private key safe. You can just gift her anything but you have introduced her to a new technology. Now you have the responsibility to teach how to store and make money with bitcoin.

Are you been moved by what m2017 said about you being greedy or what? If I should tell you, you are not. You did well in sending $30 to your girlfriend. That  $30 can be big money tomorrow that she can use to buy an expensive dress and designer bag.

If it is about being in a relationship, you must not be wealthy before you buy expensive gifts for someone to express your love and concern for them. With the little money you can afford, you show them affection and attention. The little things you do in a relationship you think are nothing, play a big role in solidifying the relationship

You gave her an unforgettable birthday present. How much you value her shows itself with a nice gesture you make. You could also buy her expensive gifts and it would bring instant happiness for her but not in the long run. But since i don't know anyone who has ever received a cryptocurrency gift, such a gift seems memorable and incredible to me. The story of your girlfriend getting started with crypto is already in history. Gifting with bitcoin could soon become the gifting norm. This is a development that will make us all happy. Now your goal should be to explain the cryptocurrency market and Bitcoin in detail to your girlfriend. Thanks to you one more person can attain financial freedom.

This one is more intriguing than the fact that you posted this even though it wasn't necessary. Well, there are other threads out there that are considered unnecessary, but I just hope that somebody make a screenshot of this, and send to your girlfriend.

Anyway, no congratulations to you because you're not loyal to your girl. I have a partner for more than a decade already, and I will not find another one. I just hope that the one you gifted Bitcoin will be the only girl in your life in the future. I guess the best thing to do with "one of your girlfriend" is to at least teach her the basics of Bitcoin, and may be cryptocurrency as well. In that way, you will have more topics when you are together, and a little bit of brainstorming as well. That's a good bonding for partners anyway.

Can I ask you a question OP. Will you also give Bitcoin to your "other girlfriends" when their birthday comes? Tongue
Something similar has been asked by another member and I've responded it. It looks like the term girl is creating some kind of misunderstanding. For better clarity, this is a friend of mine. I'm married and I've a wife, she also know that I've gifted the (girl) friend with bitcoin. No other (girl) friend haven't made a discussion regarding bitcoin with me.

Smiley

I can not stop laughing at this
greedy man. Smiley

OP seems to be a nice one to be.
It is true that no gift is small anyways OP was kind enough to give his girlfriend who was passionate about learning bitcoin a gift of bitcoin and that was a big cheers to her but OP still has a lot to do by teaching her on safety terms just as he has said here so she could have knowledge about what she is about going into and not to fall for scam and possible hack.

Long back while having conversation with one of my girlfriend she said she was interested into cryptocurrency.
This one is more intriguing than the fact that you posted this even though it wasn't necessary. Well, there are other threads out there that are considered unnecessary, but I just hope that somebody make a screenshot of this, and send to your girlfriend.

After understanding that it is a legendary member who created this post, I regretted not posting every Bitcoin related activities I performed  Grin.
These are the kinds of posts I often see from lower-ranked members seeking for attention or merits, but now I can't say the purpose of this thread coming from a legendary member.
Maybe we need to praise Op for fostering bitcoin adoption in his country by gifting his gf bitcoin.

I remember when I profit huge from NFT trends before and I've been trying p2p games and tell her that she could actually earn by just playing those, so she asked questions even the basic knowledge about crypto I teach her so she would understand every unfamiliar terms in it.

After she studied I gifted her an account since before you could even play the game you'll need to invest. It depends on how high you invested for you to get easily ROI. And now she's having fun on this crypto currency now I think she's better than me since she explored crypto not only the games.

This is a very nice Birthday gift to her but if only she really understand what you have done for her because there are some girls that will not value what you done for her. For what you have done if really she do well with you, you can increase the amount again to make her happy even in the Mother's Day  Grin. Now that she is your girlfriend and you are giving her BTC as gift then if God blesses you guys and you want to marry her how much bitcoin will you give her as a wedding gift? At this time she will carry on the alter and dance. My man well done for your love. Women in the forum should also do what this our brother has done so that the love will be perfect and not one sided one.

One of your girlfriends, huh?  Cool Ah, I see the op later explained that the meaning was that it's a girl, and she's a friend.
If she wants to try trading, it makes sense that you sent her some BTC onto her Binance account because you can't exactly experiment with trading in a non-custodial wallet.
It's good that're going to tell her about the non-custodial wallets, but hopefully she doesn't mind Binance's KYC and will be able to use the BTC you gifted her.
Bitcoin is a good birthday gift.

Wink

I'm curious, why did she leave him if she was his girlfriend when bitcoin went up? The amount of bitcoins OP gave her is a small amount and even if bitcoin hits $100k it's not too much money for her to change and leave him. If she was just a girlfriend, I don't think any guy would be stupid enough to trust and give all his possessions or secrets. As long as two people are not married, they are still strangers with no ties to each other, there is no reason to completely trust each other.

This might go two ways....

1. The Bitcoin price goes through the roof and you still have her as a girlfriend and she will be super happy with you....

Smiley

Any individual naturally will be happy when he or she is given a birthday gift and if that gift is in an unexpected way, then he or she will definitely remember it for the rest of his life. Although your friend has a good understanding of Bitcoin because she provided the wallet by herself. I think your birthday gift for your girl friend was the best ever. Since she is a complete newbie in crypto, if you support her, she will definitely be able to gain positive knowledge about crypto. Using Binance Exchange to receive btc temporarily which is definitely good way.

Once called a birthday gift, why mention big or small value here?  if only gifts of great value are called gifts, and gifts of insignificant value are not called gifts.  If it's me, that person is not worth my attention and gifts.
Yes, in some 3rd world countries, 30 dollars is already quite a lot of money.  it can cover living expenses for a week for a household of 2 to 3 people.
Everyone has their own opinion, you don't have to think about what other people think, you can't please everyone.  for me, this is an interesting story that should be shared with the community because we are a bitcoin community.

It's nice of you to do something like this instead of paying for a flower or ornament and giving it a classic gift. Your friend will never forget this. It doesn't matter if the gifts are big or small. Don't get hung up on quantities. The important thing is that you did something for your friend.

We are here because many of us know and love bitcoin. You've added another person to us. This is good news.

I know it is not good to send gifts to the centralized exchanges. During the conversation she said she is interested to learn about trading and for that purpose she had downloaded Binance. While meeting her in person I will brief her better about the security and need for non custodial wallet.

First of all, happy birthday to your girlfriend and it's great that your girlfriend is interested in Bitcoin. If she is doing research then this can be very beneficial for her in future as knowledge increases only when you are interested in something.

I think anyone can be gifted in any form and a gift in the form of Bitcoin is a great gift. Your gifting method is great so it will get more attention in Bitcoin, and that's how we can promote Bitcoin even more.

For trading she can choose any good exchange. Before trading she needs to have complete knowledge and experience about trading. You should also guide your girlfriend completely about trading, and fully inform him about the pros and cons of trading. Tell your girlfriend about different trading indicators, trading charts and analysis.

This is the best gift that one can have on her birthday because Bitcoin isn't a gift that will depreciate as time passes on,instead it will keep on appreciating. It is just like you gave someone a gold bracelet on her birthday but bitcoin is not a physical assets but a digital one.

You have helped her dreams to come through,by gifting her bitcoin today since you said that she has great interest on crptocurrency, she can use this to start her bitcoin journey. You should meet her in person and explain to her the reasons why centralized exchanges are not safe and teach her about a noncustodial wallet, so that she can keep her coins safe in her wallet and also transfer to an exchange when she wants to trade since she is interested in trading.

OP, you have just made someone birthday a memory.

Some threads have discussed members giving Bitcoin gifts as birthday presents and even wedding gifts. But your case is different because your girlfriend has some background knowledge about cryptocurrencies and she desires to own the currency. I have always believed that a gift will make meaning to the receiver if he cherishes it. It is a good birthday gift and I wish she cherishes and appreciates it.

I know it is not good to send gifts to the centralized exchanges. During the conversation she said she is interested to learn about trading and for that purpose she had downloaded Binance. While meeting her in person I will brief her better about the security and need for noncustodial wallet.
You must inform her about the dangers of keeping money in centralized exchanges. She needs to use a non-custodian wallet and don't forget to introduce her to an open-sourced wallet. Ensure she understands crypto trading before starts putting in money. She should also know that trading is not a get-rich-quick business. She should know that sometimes you lose and in some cases, you gain.

Only God could know how happy she must be right now to have her first Bitcoin been given by a friend on her birthday today. Because truly this is quite impressive, & the best way to getting her to love Bitcoin the more & pick interest into getting to learn how it works and her trade which she just opened a "Binance" account for. Because by having you as a mentor, I'm sure she is sure of going through her journey smoothly without falling victim of scam just as we did years back when we started our journey alone. However, if you could introduce her to the forum, it will be a very great idea, as she will have the privilege to meet like-minded people like her interested in Bitcoin and learning how to trade, most especially on the "Trading Discussion" side of the forum.

So once again, I must confess that was a good job you just did.

I like this story and what you have gifted to your girlfriend. But one things make me laugh a lot that your girlfriend is calling you "Anna" which is I think a south Indian word, maybe Tamil and the meaning is "Elder Brother". Actually she is calling you Elder Brother not her hubby.
Maybe your relationship status has been broken. Anyway take it easily, I am replying because this one makes my mood funny.

I will advise you to try reducing the image size so it does not occupy the entire space.

Just imagine how happy the girl will be to get her first handbag as a birthday gift, which she was never expecting. Such gifts are always cherished, and that day won't be forgotten so early by her.

For now, since she is still new to crypto, a lot of the newbies are introduced to crypto through centralized exchanges as one of their safest means of storing their coins, which I see as normal for anyone who has just a little knowledge about how things work.

Just try and make time, like you have said, to lecture her more about the security measures and steps she can take to safely guide her holdings and how to follow up on trades since she said she wants to get involved in trading. To me, for the main time, it could really be nice if she could just start by holding the bitcoin until she familiarizes herself with how trading works.
