Smart Contract Platforms today: Looking beyond Ethereum

On April 27th, 2019, Asia Blockchain Review is partnering with BlockDevs, BitPinas, and Bitchikka to host the meetup, “Smart Contract Platforms Today: Looking beyond Ethereum” in Makati, the Philippines.

In the meetup, we will feature these keynote speakers:

Chris Verceles has been working on anything and everything tech for the last 11 years and blockchain for the last two years. He is currently the CTO and Co-founder of Lifemesh — a humanitarian platform built on Ethereum — as well as a Full Stack and Blockchain Developer at ConsenSys, and blockchain developer community leader at BlockDevs Asia.

Amadeo Brands is the Co-founder & CTO at EOI Digital. He co-founded EOI Digital to help companies navigate the complex digital transformation landscape. He believes in a result-driven approach, which translates into 360° digital services for the optimization and boosting of every business performance; from sales and marketing to complex digital transformation projects. Brands has experience with blockchain development, project management, and Mendix Development and is very passionate about token design patterns.

Jerome Jonggun Lee is an experienced professional in frontier technology for social impact and currently leads a few initiatives, including blockchain for social impact, token economy, data analytics, and strategic partnership. Previously, he was the head of research and the chief data scientist of the Asia Pacific regional office of the United Nations Global Pulse. Lee received his Ph.D. in statistical modeling of human behaviors in complex networks from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie in France.

The event itinerary is as follows:

1:00pm – 1:30pm: Welcome & Introduction to BlockDevs and ABR
1:30pm – 2:00pm: Ethereum overview & baseline comparison by BlockDevs
2:30pm – 3:00pm: IOST Overview by Amadeo Brands
3:00pm – 3:30pm: Introduction of Klaytn by Ground X
3:30pm – 4:00pm: Networking
As most meetups tend to focus on the various aspects of crypto, such as economics and trading, we felt it necessary to host a friendly environment for aspiring software developers to collaborate in learning and honing their craft.

“Smart Contract Platforms Today: Looking beyond Ethereum” is being held on April 27th, 2019 in Acceler8 Coworking Space, 111 Paseo de Roxas, Makati City, Metro Manila from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

The event is being sponsored by Ground X and co-organized by ABR and BlockDevs.
