Well i was going to respond in a polite way but you clearly are trolling as you make more than one false claim about things i hsve said. Are you a sock by chance?

lol.

There's no possible way I can respond to your post without admitting that I am illegally operating a non-profit as my own personal piggy bank. Instead, I'll attempt to misdirect (and fool nobody) by accusing you of being smoothie's alt.

FTFY.

ps: it is blatantly obvious to everyone that you are avoiding the actual questions in this thread and only making posts to try and troll people. There is no reason to be so evasive to these legitimate questions if you are running a legitimate foundation. You are the only one making yourself look like a scammer here (unless you are actually running a legitimate foundation in which case the way you have handled this entire situation makes you look like a buffoon - hardly much more desirable than scammer).

So call me names or imply that I am smoothie or whoever all you want but that isn't going to change the facts. So which jurisdiction is the Litecoin "Foundation" registered in again? Thailand? USA? Other?

lol.

Chuck Finley knows all about people who pull scams like these, a bunch of bitchy little girls. I remember a couple of conversations over some  dos equis about the good old days where scammers would defend themselves with a rational argument that made logical sense. But as with most things, they get lazy, start to get comfortable on their boats and stop caring enough to keep up their cover.

Please tell me more about "the law in the country you are operating in." You clearly have a lack of understanding in what is going on as I have been trying to tell you.

OK let's forget about the law in Smoothie's country and look at the law in Goat's country - which (supposedly) is Thailand:

Quote from: THE THAILAND CIVIL AND COMMERCIAL CODE
Foundation

Section 110. A foundation consists of property specially appropriated to public charity, religious, art, scientific, education or other purpose for the public benefit and not for sharing profit, and has been registered under the provisions of this Code.

The property of a foundation must be managed for implementing the objects of that foundation, and not for seeking interest for any person.

It would appear that most (if not all) countries where the rule of law applies frown on the practice of defrauding people under the guise of a fake charitable organization.

Since goat has admitted that this "foundation" isn't a foundation at all but a for-profit business this forum and all other crypto forums should loudly denounce any activities undertaken by "The Litecoin Foundation" as the illegal and dishonest actions that they are.

He didn't even do anything. He just pointed out that you are conducting slightly shady business by calling it a foundation and making it sound non profit, thats all.

then you over reacted in a way that makes it seem like you are actually doing something suspicious. This discussion isn't going to really go anywhere since (it seems) no one is doing anything wrong

This ^.

A mere simple request that that Goat address other users' questions regarding "The Litecoin Foundation" was....in his world "Attacking him".

And you failed to explain why you are justified in asking the questions. You are not a member, you can not become a member. If the name offends you, call a shrink...

So let's go back to how my link to you was an "attack"...please enlighten me.

If you really feel I owe you an explanation to anything then please explain yourself. If you feel insulted or that I did you wrong in some way, please explain that too.

If you are unable to do so then I can't really help you. You are well known for your attacks and you even had a whole thread devoted to personally attacking me. I'm too lazy to link it but it can be found if anyone cares. Smoothie, I'm not the guy who needs to defend myself on "attacks"...

Yeah, But to be fair to Dob he did admit he was in the wrong (despite smoothie getting involved) and is now trying to correct the problem. Dob is trying to meet "my" standards. As soon as he does I will donate some BTC.

I can't speak for the general public, but it very much looked like you were harrassing Dob over details just because you two got into a spat over something. I doubt he or anyone else for the matter actually cared about a Bitcoin Museum becoming a registered nonprofit organization, but he is doing so because he didn't want to fight further with you. Smoothie (and you for the matter) dont care about what is the fastest/easiest resolution to a problem. You two just like to fight. So I think you should both drop the victim card, and just fight/debate with each other over something like what color the sky would look best in, and just butt heads for the sake of doing so, and stop trying to create new "real" problems between the two of you, because there is none.

Also, I'm debating changing my forum name to Doctor Phil.

I just find it amusing that this thread claims I "attacked" goat's "Foundation", yet I merely asked him to address community concerns (not mine) in a thread he created concerning "The Litecoin Foundation".

I'm not the only one who sees that Goat took a long while to even address my question of why don't you answer community concerns over your foundation's name.

It doesn't matter anymore, seems Goat wants to operate in secrecy. That is fine. Along with it comes many unanswered questions and that is also fine.

An actual recap.

1) DobZombie has a Bitcoin Museum that is not up to Goat's standards.
2) Goat calls him out on it.
3) Smoothie takes Dob's side either because he just wants to fight with goat or he genuinely wishes to defend the Bitcoin Museum.
4) Smoothie compares Goat's argument that the Bitcoin Museum is fraud (not registered as a nonprofit) and says the same about the Litecoin Foundation
5) Both Smoothie and Goat now arguing about things they don't care about

Slightly off topic, however I hope that you will approve as it makes a point. I'm interested in setting up a Bitcointalk reality T.V show, and its part Jerry Springer and part boxing. So people can sit and yell at each other, and then after that they get to box.

Goat and Smoothie, just wondering if you would like to be the first to appear on the show?

I'm not attacking him and the groups he is involved with. Remember his attack thread on me personally? He has nothing better to do than go around and troll. Fine, freedom of speech and whatever but really he does not add anything to the conversation. You see his ignore is tan? That is as dark as it can get.

He clearly can not justify his demands so this should end now.

They are not my "demands", which are questions and concerns of the community.

Please link me to where I demanded anything other than asking nicely for you to address other people's concerns.

What are we exactly supposed to understand?

That the name of the organization you supposedly operate under, "The Litecoin Foundation", implies non-profit yet you have not addressed community concerns of your legitimacy as a non-profit organization?

Why have you not answered simple questions about your non-profit organization?

Part of the problem here is that you are not asking valid questions and your point of view is very limited. If we feel that you need to know details of what we do we will share them with you. You have no right to know.

I would have more of a right asking you about how your "company" is registered as I am a customer of yours. You have nothing to do with the Litecoin Foundation and I hope to God never will.

I'd like for you to try to explain why you think we must meet your demands.

Community questions & concerns =/= Smoothie's demands. <---- Let's get that straight, Goat.

A link is not a demand. I've only asked why you choose not to answer the questions, that was it. No demands were made although in your world it seems that my comments are filled with demands.

Now that you have made it clear that you do not want to share information with the public about your supposed non-profit organization, that is fine. Just keep in mind that your name is misleading if it is indeed a non-profit and you can't prove it nor want to prove it. Let's end on that topic.

Concerning my business (since you like to divert attention) I do not have to register as any MSB given I do not accept fiat payments, but I have registered LEALANA, LLC. in the county of Honolulu now that you've asked.

See, I don't need to hide anything. But then again that is my choice. I just prefer not to operate in a shroud of secrecy while at the same time touting the name "The Litecoin Foundation" as if it is a realistic entity that is indeed a "Foundation" by definition of the law in the country you are operating in.

Welcome to the SaltySpitoon, how Tough are ya?
Do keep in mind that thread was made in October of 2012, back then Smoothie had no other role in the community besides annoyance, so he didn't think twice about making... "questionable" posts. I think you two need to make up like big boys, and realize Smoothie was dumb in the past, (you can't argue that Smoothie) and Goat, you were an easy target for Smoothie's brand of comedy/self amusement.

Just to put things into Context, at the time, Smoothie made up like 80% of Alt Currency's reports (he doesn't touch .01% today) and wasn't October short before your break from the forums Goat?

Had this thread not been made in 2012, it would not be something that would be made again. I don't really want to see a fight between a Smoothie and a Goat, and I know the two of you at least fairly well, so left alone, this little back and forth thing will be quite drawn out, so for the love of yourselves and everyone who will be in the path of the dripping sticky mess, and the rampant eattings of a goat, please settle this.

For those with no context, I'm just not going to provide any so its more confusing for you.

Goat, you sound like a reasonable person, and I can understand

how it sucks when it feels like everyone is on your case.

I would respectfully like to ask if the LiteCoin Foundation is a registered non-profit,

my reason being that if I donate then I can take it off on my taxes. Thank you.

^ This.

Well what i can tell you is that you will not be able to donate unless you are a member. If you become a member you can know everything. We have not accepted a new member in about a year and are not looking at this time. The way this is set up it is very hard for us to add people. We also have pretty high demands on members.
Why should the community trust such a secretive club to not just act in its own interest?

What gives it any legitimacy?

You should not at all trust it. We have no legitimacy in the community. You should treat us like any other random ltc supporter.

Which then implies your entity using the word "Foundation" with no actual factual documents or filings as a Foundation (non-profit as you claim) is indeed not a legitimate Foundation, thus misleading.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundation_(nonprofit)

Quote
One of the characteristics of the legal entities existing under the status of "Foundations", is a wide diversity of structures and purposes. Nevertheless, there are some common structural elements that are the first observed under legal scrutiny or classification.

Chart of a foundation
Legal requirements followed for establishment
Purpose of the foundation
Economic activity
Supervision and management provisions
Accountability and Auditing provisions
Provisions for the amendment of the statutes or articles of incorporation
Provisions for the dissolution of the entity
Tax status of corporate and private donors
Tax status of the foundation
Some of the above must be, in most jurisdictions, expressed in the document of establishment. Others may be provided by the supervising authority at each particular jurisdiction

If "The Litecoin Foundation" is a private foundation (sounds like it so far) Then the following applies in the U.S:

Quote
Private foundations typically have a single major source of funding (usually gifts from one family or corporation rather than funding from many sources) and most have as their primary activity the making of grants to other charitable organizations and to individuals, rather than the direct operation of charitable programs. When a person or a corporation founds a private foundation frequently family members of that person or agents of the corporation are members of the governing board. This limits public scrutiny over the private foundation, which entails unfavorable treatment compared to community foundations.
The differing treatment of private foundations compared to public charities including community foundations is as follows: (a) foundation must pay out 5% of its assets each year while a public charity does not; (b) donors to a public charity receive greater tax benefits than donors to a foundation; (c) a public charity must collect at least 10% of its annual expenses from the public in order to remain tax-exempt while a foundation does not.

Other countries have their own laws on this of course. But in all fairness the term "Foundation" being used the way it has been without any legitimacy to the legal filings etc can be misleading.

LOL @ "THE LITECOIN FOUNDATION"

I asked some basic but fundamental questions about "The Litecoin Foundation" over TWO AND A HALF MONTHS AGO.

Goat has not answered and continues to ignore these questions. This only further reinforces the appearance that "The Litecoin Foundation" is nothing more than a scam designed to trick unsuspecting users into paying for physical Litecoins under the guise of a "foundation" that is really a for-profit business and not a "foundation" at all.

Instead he comes to the Bitcoin forums to cry like a baby because he doesn't like some posts Smoothie made whining that his reputation has been damaged. The "funny" part is that goat does far more damage to his own reputation than anyone else does by acting like some sort of scam-artist and then passing up opportunities to tell his side of the story and clear the air.

+1 and hence here we are.

Oh and @ Goat, I wouldn't ever give you the ability to whine and cry because I "scammed" you. I would never hear the end of it from you.

Being the bigger person, I don't need to scam anyone nor do I need to take other people's funds and send them off to another semi-anonymous user for "interest" on the deposit.

Chuck is right, all I did was compile your track record in a thread and because the truth hurts you continue to hold on to that as if I actually scammed you when you should be that much more emotional and whiney toward say Pirateat40 or Bitcoinica.

Misdirected emotions it seems.  Roll Eyes

And yet you still have not addressed the honest questions of the community about "The Litecoin Foundation". Keep in mind these are not my questions/opinions, I merely linked you to people who actually have valid and legitimate questions regarding your Foundation.

He keeps going on in this one too.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/the-trust-system-is-a-bloody-joke-312732

Yet he has to have his threads moderated. Honestly anyone who trusts this guy is almost asking to be scammed.

Well, the historical record and you own pain show trusting people you trust can be at least as painful.

Wow so much hate in this thread. Where is the love?

Didn't realize posting a link to address community concerns was such a big deal. Someone seems touchy.  Roll Eyes

Yes, we are the ones with the problem.  Wink

I'd fight Gandhi.
Yeah, forgive my french, but fuck smoothie. I added him to my ignore list a long time ago. I bet it pisses him off whenever I mention it. And I bet he's gonna pounce on me and quote some lame-ass media meme. He's a waste, and doesn't contribute to anything. Perhaps he's one of those kissless virgin fuckups that gets off at getting people mad. Goat, just hit the ignore button to all those that piss you off. You'll be a much happier man.

Shill eh? Yeah I made a bad investment with Pirate. I paid a huge price for that. I also covered all of my debts and did not run away.

Shill for Garr? lol. Just cuz I am open about where I place my BTC does not mean you should do it too. I have never told anyone to invest in Garr. Yeah, I might lose everything I invested with him but that is my risk, not yours.

Also I had left smoothie alone for half a year. He jumped in on a different thread and started posting off topic stuff. To get to shut up in that thread I made this one. I really wish he would just put me on ignore, would be better for the whole community.

Thanks.

It is a start, but at least you are learning.

I have been caught up in just about every scam out there. It sucks hard trust me.

Eh, some people read more than others. Hell, some people even gamble better than others.

You and smoothie both seem to love Litecoin. Maybe you can see a marriage counselor or divorce lawyer together?

I thought we had an understanding where he would just leave me alone. He broke that today in this thread. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/dobzombie-and-thebitcoinmuseumcom-he-is-now-working-on-fixing-the-issue-313116

He likes the attacks as you know. I would be fine if he would just stop but you know him.

Of course, but...

You have to understand that his reputation is rather clean other than that trolling business and you are still rebuilding. It could be worse. You could be Amir or Jay Shore.

You posted your attack in a thread and you knew it was off topic. I took the time and responded to you in the correct place, a new thread.

You are welcome.

Hardly an "attack" as you claim.

You do like to play the victim often, huh?

It's actually amusing that you try to do that as often as you do. It makes me laugh, honestly.  Cheesy

I'm going to guess this was also not a personal attack? A whole thread of personal attacks? I guess I am just playing the victim  Roll Eyes

Keep it up, you are one class act.

Okay so I presume you want to rabbit trail?

Let's discuss your pirate ponzi pass-through where you operated as an associate to help Pirate's so called "trust" that ultimately scam many users out of 10's of thousands of BTC.

Of course you will claim you lost BTC in that debacle as well. But didn't you get a cut for your "services" of merely sending bitcoins to Pirateat40? Hence how is that your wealth you "lost"?

Just because you weren't the mastermind there does not make you completely innocent. But of course you will believe so, it's human nature.

You're not the only one that can keep diverting attention when a topic gets addressed.

In any case please keep playing the victim, it suits you.

You two are still playing footsies?

On one hand there is smoothie who has been a troll at times to understate things. On the other there is Goat who shilled for Pirateat40 and continues to shill for Garr, the would be auction scammer.

I care little for litcoins or foundations. Reading this though smoothie has merely been a pain in people's asses. on the other hand Goat has shilled for scams. May the wisdom, or lack thereof of the crowd pick a weiner.

Goat I am a free-market type of guy. If you want to create physical litecoins. That is okay with me. I have no problem as you are suggesting I have with your venture.

Your lack of addressing those issues in this thread (https://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,997.msg39610.html#msg39610) is on you, not me. I've merely just tried to get some form of communication moving given you so thoughtfully attempted to put the same standards on Dobzombie today in the other thread you created.

Attacking me by claiming that I have attacked the Litecoin Foundation only makes you look silly as you have no evidence to backup your claim.

Everything is out in the open on that.

It's not an attack by linking ACTUAL community members' concerns regarding the Litecoin Foundation.

Your lack of addressing those concerns is alarming. I've been unbiased and have not commented on whether or not your entity is indeed a scam. At the same time you not addressing the concerns is somewhat of an issue in the eyes of the community, not by me, but by actual members of the Litecoin forum and community.

Let's get that straight. Thanks.

@ Goat,

Perhaps you should address these concerns on the Litecoin forum concerning "The Litecoin Foundation":

https://forum.litecoin.net/index.php/topic,997.msg39610.html#msg39610

Quote
So what is the current status of this "Litecoin Foundation"? Is it incorporated somewhere as a non-profit org? If so, where is the paperwork for us to examine?

Legally a foundation is a non-profit entity so you can't start a for-profit business and call it a foundation (at least not in any country where the rule of law applies). If this "foundation" is actually a for-profit business then it is 100% a scam designed to confuse people into lining someone's pockets in the mistaken belief that they are helping out some sort of charity dedicated to promoting and enhancing Litecoin.

If that is the case this "foundation" is actually hurting LTC and this business should not only be banned from promoting anything on these forums but should be actively denounced by the LTC community for what it is.

I bring this up as there is no real information here on the so-called "Litecoin Foundation" yet there is another thread where they are looking to sell physical Litecoin coins. Where is this money (received from the sale of the coins) going and what is it being spent on?

As well as others in that thread. Its been over 2 months and you (The Litecoin Foundation) have not addressed these concerns.

Thanks in advance for addressing their concerns.
