Agree with MJ on Keybase.io

Ok, so apparently this is in fact Kleopatra's way of saying the file is fine, it returns this error because I've not signed Noah's key or some issue like that. It seemed strange that there should be a state between pass and fail for this test.

See this post for more info on issues with Kleopatra's verification states.

Does anyone know of any other tools for checking this stuff? I find GPG Win and Kleopatra a bit clunky to say the least, plus they keep crashing on basic operations so I'm always having to restart them.

You can try keybase.io
They provide this. Smiley

The wallet should be able to do that, perhaps you can find a light one for this purpose.

Edit: I use keybase and did not expect they to let you verify messages of something else than xlm, thanks for pointing out.

Yeah, they are several paragraphs with lots of formatting. :/

I think I'm not going to be able to fix this.

Interesting that I'm, getting "Not enough information to check signature validity." and not "Invalid signature." Why is there a state in between true and false for this operation?

Thanks!

But I am still getting the same error. Does anyone have any ideas why?

Double check for any extra spaces, lines, or other formatting issues. Any small formatting change can lead to errors in the verification.

I'm trying to locate smoothie's public key he uses to sign stuff for Lealana. I've got as far as finding this:

http://pool.sks-keyservers.net:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x9AB257BFA764D833

Does anyone happen to know if this is the correct pub key?

The reason I'masking is I've got a signed message from him for some coins to prove authenticity. But I'm having problems verifying the signatures. When I use Kleopatra with the following key and the signed message copied to memory I get the following error:

Not enough information to check signature validity.
