Check out these 3000yrd. shots. Almost twice the distance of the first video. Now that requires not just a good shooter or an outstanding rifle, you need the whole package. DOPE, a big bore cal like the Lapua round, hand loads, and all the human skills. Things like breath control and an experienced spotter.
I think most of us could make a 1000yrd. shot with much practice and a sub MOA rifle, but to reach out to 3k is real feat that I doubt I could do even with practice.

(If you jump to 6:15 he zooms out and you can see the distance)

very interesting shot from that distance with a high degree of accuracy is not easy and takes years of practice I guess he have received military training before, because if civilians are also rare to shoot with such accuracy

It's a nice shooting, but you will not be able to use it anywhere else in normal combat way, since all the targets usually move and you can maybe hit one before you get RPG in the ass.

Would be more impressive if it were a moving target, up range. I'd really like to see someone snipe a target going 30 MPH with a very small target (about the size of a window on a car).

Hey this may interest you. Or maybe you have seen them, but the videos of "Brian Cleckner" are outstanding. He's a former sniper team leader and does a great job as a teacher. Each video walks you through a hard to understand concept in long range shooting.
Here he is on understanding MOA.

I'm doing some bolt gun shooting this weekend. A combination of guns and math, what's not to like?

last time I went to "clay pidgin shot" I was checking my breath and heard beating ...

btw, I heard off that

"mIt researchers develop tech that may monitor vital sings such as heartbeat _from another room;"

Wow, that's crazy.
I'm kina excited because I just got accepted as a candidate member at an awesome gun club here in Wisconsin. This one: http://wingunclub.org/

They have a range that allows you to shoot out to 1400yds. That is beyond my Remington 700P and my current ability. Still, I can't wait to try it out!

congratulations bro, we happy for you .. if you get a hit/block please tell us Wink
