I've noticed that activity points here have been working differently than before the update to the merit system. So i am just wondering, how often activity updates now, and is the 1 activity limit per day still a standard?
no, activity is still the same as before the merit system was implemented
yes you can say 1 activity per day is the limit, but it's 14 activity per 2 weeks more precisely
and if you didn't max out the biweekly activity count, you will have potential activity saved

for example the first biweekly you posted 3, then second biweekly you posted 3 more
you will have 6 activity total but potential up to 28 points
so by the end of third biweekly if you have more than 14 posts all will be counted for
for example you made 30 new posts, you will then have 36 activity total Cool

Hope that newbies are reading the sticky thread first before they ask how activity and merit system works.
There are many newbies here are making the same topic here in beginners help section.

I have been reading those stickys yes, however at the start the activity went up by a number alot day by day. Now it does not.

Well, your name is obvious that you are selling accounts that might be a reason of asking this question repeatedly.

And here is your answer goes totally wrong.
This is a shitpost, because of many things.

1st. You just basically explained my name, and what it means although it was already pretty obvious
2nd. I wonder where else i have "repeated" this question.

I asked a question, to which i have not found a anwer to. And to my conclusion there was some update. This section is for stupid questions anyway.

Your account was made last month and you are acting like a newbie.

You get merit points when someone sends you some for one of your posts. Additionally, when someone sends you merit points, half of those points can be sent by you to other people.

Certain users are designated as "merit sources". They can create new merit out of nothing, up to a limited number per month (which differs per source). I will not be posting a definitive list of merit sources (so that people don't bug them too much), though you'll soon figure out who they are if you pay attention.

There is currently no such thing as a "demerit". I'm hoping that the positive merits alone will be fine. I could add demerits pretty easily later on if necessary, though.

I'm hoping that this system will increase post quality by:
 - Forcing people to post high-quality stuff in order to rank up. If you just post garbage, you will never get even 1 merit point, and you will therefore never be able to put links in your signature, etc.
 - Highlighting good posts with the "Merited by" line.

While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.

Do not beg for merit excessively.
