I mean real camping, with a tent and trying to figure out that two-can stove thing without burning your hands off and the whole bit. Fun stuff, isn't it?

I used to go camping every summer, but for the last 2 years, I couldn't make it  Sad Your thread brought back my memories, thank you so much for this! This summer I will definitely go!

I actually just got back from a camping trip last weekend in the mountains about 2 1/2 hours from my place. It’s been getting very hot in the city and I knew I needed to go somewhere but couldn’t find anybody to go on vacation with.

Sometimes I end up just staying at home even though I know I need to recharge my batteries and get away. So last weekend, I just packed up the car with my tent, my old portable camping kitchen, some simple freeze dried foods like mac & cheese and a couple beers. I had an amazing time just enjoying the peace and quiet and reconnecting with the outdoors.

regardless if the virus, the pandemic will still be there this summer, nothing can stop me from taking my holidays and relaxing by camping maybe it will be a bit shorter but surely I will not give it up, immersing yourself in nature is a way to recharge your batteries

I love camping very much, especially in summer, I set up my tent on the dominant hills where I can watch the sunrise in the morning. The only thing to pay attention to will be your camping equipment, the more detailed and the better quality you have, the more easily you can solve most problems.

Several times I got out of town. It is quite pleasant to be in nature, especially after the quarantine measures at the end of spring.

I usually go camping with some friends once a year for 7-10 days. Two years ago we were in Scotland, last year we stayed in Germany and this year we had to cancel due to corona. I love camping, but with the pandemic being on such high levels this year I didn't really go for a vacation. Hopefully next year is going to be normal again.

the plan did not succeed because of Pandemic, what we did is a backyard camping in which two of my nephew visited and joined the camping so still we enjoyed.

With bonfire and barbeque with cold beer for the elder and soda for the kids,at least we made it even not the real plan.

This time did not went it due to the pandemic and also friends were not ready to join and finally decided to spent time learning some new hobbies and getting more fit than before. This time many things have gone for toss and with increasing cases in our country better not to venture out if not necessary.

In the summer I went to a nearby forest or reserve forest without going to a hill town. It is less hot than in the forest you can also go to places where there are big rivers like Benares. It's a little hot during the day but in the evening when you sit on the Ganges your life will be covered. The place is a mountainous area near the border of Andhra Pradesh there is not much crowd of tourists yet. Beautiful nature daytime temperature around 30 during summer mercury starts to fall as soon as the sun sets.

Jee, the last time I went camping was probably back in 10th grade haha. Not a big fan of camping at all. I'm more of a stay at home, lay in bed with tons of layers of blankets on top of me kind of person, honestly

Travel ban means camping is the only way for me to travel in 2020. So I've been searching best camping places in my area and buying special equipment for it. In case if you think about it too - best folding camping chairs. Good article with reviews from customers.

Now with the coronavirus it is the best way to go on holidays with a travel van.
You can find great and beautiful isolated places to enjoy your vacations.
And on top of that there are not going to be overcrowded with people so you are going to keep yourself safe.

means in your community only travelling is banned and not going outside for just like camping?

lucky for you because that is the only one thing i wanna do now to comfort me and my family, because we are bored inside our house for more than 2 months now.

Guys sorry for bumping this topic. Want to know what else did you take with you camping? Next month I go with my family and want to be ready at 100%. What tools should I take with me?

A campervan - it helps you to stay connected, and to enjoy the countryside.
I am saving for this, since i am getting close to retirement and my wife wanted to have a campervan so we can enjoy all places by land here in my country.

camping is very nice, but i prefer fishing

I like fishing too. Sometimes I go fishing with my friends. It was fun because we have to go to some places, we can enjoy the view of nature. Sometimes we are lucky to get a fish, and sometimes we don't, but after all, we have fun. But for camping, I don't do that for a long time since I have a terrible experience in one place that makes me trauma to go camping again.

you can just check youtube and there are tons of videos that will tell you what tools and  what to do when you are in camp sites.

but always remember  that don't bring unnecessary things to lighten the weight to carry and never go far from the reach of the people.

bring Map and compass ,and also bring water purifier for emergency purposes .

I have never gone camping in my life.
I don't find it fun at all as you have hygiene difficulties that can make you to harm your body-life.
If you have the money to spend your holidays by renting a room or staying at a hotel then I think that this is the best way to spend your vacations.

The tools you need for camping are a tent, stove tent, flashlights or headlamps, sleeping bag, fabrics, clothes, shoes, woolen socks, snacks, spices, bottle of water, maps, compass, sharp tools, and first aid kit, I love camping as it gives me positive energy to return to continue my personal life with full energy, We spent summer camping in one of the forests where the open air, the animals around us, and the pleasant weather, it was a great experience.

I got married this summer and went with my wife to hilly areas of my country. We did camping for couple of nights but majority of our stay was in hotels. Next summer we are planning for a full hiking and camping tour. such activities give boost to your energies and mood. Highly recommended for all.

This summer I was on a mountain hike. This was my first such experience. But I really liked it. The trip was only a week, and during this time I was so used to nature that when I went out into the city, I noticed the enormous difference between nature and technogenic society. And it scares that we exchanged nature and our health for large noisy and dirty cities. I'm not for rejecting the benefits of humanity, but for their wise use. I think I digress from the topic. In general, the trip was very interesting. I even met a big wild bear right in front of me, but I was lucky that he was scared and ran away, because I didn’t have a flare with me!

I go camping a lot, and yes it is a tent. I go backpacking camping with some friends and no we don't use no wussy two-can stove thing, too much extra weight to lug around, Just find brush and tree branches, cut them up and build a fire.

i love going camping, but i don't have a company. I tried to convince my girlfriend to go camping with me, but she is very afraid of different kind of insects and the possibility of some people going around our camp site in the middle of the night.

Got a small A frame cabin on a lake,so most of us use it as the base and camp around it. Been up twice so far, maybe one more trip next long weekend.
That's just like me. I usually spend some time in summer in my forest house. It can't be called a cabin because it's a normal brick house in the woods.
To me, a city dweller it's really strange to live surrounded by nature. Everything is alive there and running from your feet starting with crickets frogs and bees and ending with cats birds and squirrels. I even found a hornet's nest this Summer.
