Sorry the MOD tag means that a moderator of a feed posted that. Currently there aren't a lot of general feeds everyone posts in, so it a bit like the wild west when you look at the firehose.
There are several other tags, "Sticky" for post stickied to the tops of feeds, and "NSFW" which means not safe for work.

I going to make email validation mandatory, but I wanted initially the user sign up process to be super easy. I'll probably roll this out later today.

Just a thought - if someone were to employ a bot-net to upvote their content, they could do so relatively cheaply, as 95% of their 'vote value' would be returned to them. With enough up votes, their content would be presented to a larger audience, and they could have the potential to make back much more than the 5% lost to transaction fees. For every 18 bots employed by the attacker, only 1 authentic vote would be required in order to break even.

Can botnet attack take place at all if u allow only email verified users ? Reddit does not employ mandatory email verification... so they face botnet attack.

1) create a feed, post some content, if the feed is good enough I can make it a default feed that is shown and everyone is subscribed to when they sign up
2) you can deposit some bitcoin to fill up your vote balance to do some voting
At the moment Centii is just lifting it's feet off the ground, so there's not a lot of users just yet, for it to reach critical mass we need more users, more content. It's slowly starting to pick up momentum

It's called Centii, I never thought I would be posting about this, this project has been a dream of mine for the past 6 months, It's now at a time where I can open it up for beta testing, which I really hope you like, it's a bit intimidating opening this up to the general public.
Centii is a link aggregation and blogging site that allows users to directly monetize their content creation. Users can earn votes, which are based on bitcoins, for text posts, link sharing, or even commentary. Centii fills the void between bloggers and ad revenue, allowing bloggers to be directly paid for their posts, or content they share. Centii's voting system is based on the stoshi with one vote equal to .01 USD, hence the name centii.
With centii you can create feeds as well having your own personal feed that people can subscribe to. At the moment the only default feed is Centii but I need people to try it out, create feeds, find bugs, and post content. If you do find a bug, or want to request a feature, please submit a ticket through the support system.
It's super simple to sign up, but please set a pin you can remember, as they can not currently be reset and a pin is needed to make withdrawals.
Welp, have fun, it's almost bed time here on the west coast but I'll be around to answer question for a few hours.
